What makes his writing so appealing to the female demographic?
>>23815288Not sure it specifically attracts female readers.Just that women make up around 90% of active readers, and they will happily hoover up whatever popular slop that's on offer. But also a complete lack of philosophical depth or accurate male pathos means there's little that they'd be put off by.

>>23815331>Just that women make up around 90% of active readersWhy is this?
>>23815288I read mistborn trilogy for shits and gigs recently and it was decently enjoyable. I can see why females would like it though. It's very mystery and action driven. The women characters are also magically powerful without being sluts. The romance also was pretty traditional and non graphic, which I'm sure stands out too amongst the other romantasy slop that gets pushed onto them.
Clearly because he's such a hunk.

>>23815288Sanderson actually talks to women he's close to about things involving women in his books to portray them authentically. The parties in Mistborn 1 come to mind. He's also very sparse with details about their appearance so his portrayal of women is generally pretty neutral.
>>23817829being a BYU professor, I wonder what his real opinions regarding women are
If Sanderson wasn't such a goody two-shoes mormon boy he could be bedding mentally ill fangirls on cons and getting cancelled on twitter for it. That's how I'd live his life anyway.
>>23817907I doubt he cares much about contemporary issues outside of his books. He's a Mormon, stinking rich, and his wife cranked out three sons. Man's got it made.
>>23817750I used to play video games, bu they all suck now. So I turned to reading instead. These are dark times.
>>23817952How is he a Mormon with only one wife? Shouldn't he have a full harem if he followed their teachings?
