to be fair, closer was his first novel, you're depriving yourself of some of the most gutting and visceral fiction here. and the sluts came years after closer, so i think thatd make sense, though i agree with you. closer had the most abrupt, nonsense ending, it had potential. try Frisk next, that one fucked me up and it has such a compelling plotline.
