We need something like goodreads except it excludes women. Then the ratings will actually reflect the quality of the book
>>
>>24087702
>>24087700
>>24087627
>>24087589
More if the first review. It's written by a woman.
>>
>>24087756
>>24087771
Women may read romanceslop and fantasyslop but men don't read at all, so women are still winning.
>>
>>24087809
Yes we do. We just pirate to our e reader. Whereas women buy hard copies because the aesthetics of their bookshelf is the most important thing for the femoid
>>
>>24087809
There are quite enough men on goodreads for women to be unnecessary. Even if women are 90% of the people there they fuck up the book ratings
>>
>>24087589
IJ?
>>
>>24087771
Just use goodreads and read the username before reading the review. It's not that hard.
>>
>>24087929
this except someone should make a browser extension that balances the number rating to exclude female voters
>>
>>24087929
The issue is the ratings
>>
>>24087954
Who cares about rating? The books with more ratings will always be the modern popular ones, despite women or men. If you delete all women from GR then the most rated books would be Stephen King and Sanderson. Classic books would still have low ratings becayse they are teached at highschool where teenagers cannot fully appreciate them.

>>
>>24087979
The most rated doesn’t mean most highly rated. And most classic books aren’t read by teenagers for school, only a handful are

>>
>>24087809
Didn't Bloom say something to the effect of "I'd rather children not read at all than read Rowling/King?" That's how I feel. If you're reading about vampires eating ass, you're not really Reading™.
>>
>>24087771
Then it'll only have reviews of books you pretend to have already read.
>>
>started reading Paprika by Tsutsui because I love the Kon movie
>surprised to see it has a 3.19 on Goodreads
>think to myself "Hm, maybe because the translation feels wooden at times?"
>every review is about misogyny, rape, and homophobia
>all those things are in the movie, and the troons at Letterboxd give it a 4.1
Goodreads sucks for ratings and reviews.
>>
>>24089701
Nobody on goodreads rates books as pretending to have read them except possibly shills
>>
>>24087589
Thanks for reminding me how fake and gay 2020 was.
>>
>>24089687
This is like saying if you aren’t watching movies like 400 Blows then it doesn’t count
>>
>>24087782
Women have such a hard time understanding that what the protagonist says isn’t necessarily what the author believes. Why is this?
>>
>>24089757
That's basically true. Avengers Endgame isn't cinema. For that matter, Taylor Swift isn't music.
>>
>>24089762
I think an inadequate ability to compartmentalize explains a lot. I think this inability to compartmentalize is associated with:

1. Tendency for greater "right brain" language and artistic skills with inferior "left brain" logic and mathematic skills
2. Leftist political ideology
3. Ideology infects everything else you do because you cant compartmentalize

This is why leftoids dominate all media, they MUST propagandize, and they ARE retarded. 1 simple mental propensity explains everything. It also has a second order flywheel affect which is how they tend to take over insitiutions via ingroup bias.
>>
>>24087820
> they fuck up the book ratings
Only on the top100 books to read before you die shit. Try looking beyond that and the fembots disappear from the userbase. If all you see is women reviews it’s a reflection of what you’re looking at.
>>
>>24089757
I’ve logged like 2000 movies on letterboxd. I think this is true. What a colossal waste of time. Maybe 200 of those were worth watching as an experience that changed my life somehow. The rest might as well have been playing tic tac toe.
>>
>>24089633
That’s not true.
>>24087751
I originally got recced it on /tv/ desu, but I’m a huge fan of historical fiction and it’s literally the best historical fiction series in existence.
>>
>>24089762
Men turn themselves into things, Women turn things into themselves. This disconnect between "what I am doing" and "who I am" does not exist for women, they exist in a far more imminent and vividly non-abstract way, and this makes it difficult for them to grasp the idea that the writer and character are discrete entities.

This is of course not uniformly true and it is a matter of degrees but this is my assessment after decades of studying foids. It is the source of their immense social awareness, because they feel and see relationships in real-time in higher resolution than men do, but it also makes them very inept at navigating impersonal philosophic questions.
