I can tell pretty quickly if an author spends a certain number of words describing the sky that the book is going to suck. And this is usually within the first handful of pages.

I wanted to write female author but frankly thats just not correct. Women barely write philosophy, horror short stories or warhammer 40k slop which is my main target in books so when I come upon something written by a woman I'm actually kinda interested.If I had to actually give an answer I'd say "new york times bestseller" sticker or the German equivalent of "Spiegel Bestseller"You just know it will be slop.
