It’s been a while since I read it but I remember him telling the kid that he was the only one who never accepted him, but I remember the expriest being the one who hated him the most.With if anything Toadvine being the second, the Kid just seemed to go along with anything.

Holden summed it up, he spoke it elegantly, there is not a single man who can disprove his thesis about man, nature, and war. He is right.
