Zoomers identify much more strongly with pictures of cats than millenials did. For the millenial the cat image was mostly an exterior object, usually a cause for amusement, but for the zoomer the cat is mostly an avatar of their feelings and disposition. Zoomers have entered the cat. Or perhaps sought refuge therein. But from what do they flee? Much to consider
Not a fan at how zoomers project their mental illnesses onto innocent cats. Sometimes even potentially tormenting them so they can get a meme vid of the cat's befuddlement and post it online "he's just like me"

You can question the motives behind that for eternity but the evidence remain that zoomers are being manipulated. So projecting their identity into the cat is a mere reflection of that.
