Genealogy of morals. It literally solved all of ethics, and it was done from within an environment of rule-obsessed npcs. Nietzsche was the greatest philosopher in history.

>>24109465Why? I’m a theist and I think Nietzsche was one too but that’s a fucking stupid thing to say. Ethics is simply the pursuit of good and Nietzsche broke the failed ethical tradition by reminding everyone that good is defined by nature, not decontextualised commandments. The only way your comment makes sense is if you’re a rulecuck who has attached divinity to said rules.
>>24107621This is now a Wagner thread.>Wotan’s relationship with Siegfried is something wonderful, like no other poetry in the world: love and enforced enmity and the desire for destruction. This is highly symbolic for the understanding of Wagner’s character: love for that which redeems, judges, and destroys; but splendidly perceived!- Nietzsche in a letter, 1876The third act of Siegfried is a forecoming of Nietzsche's philosophy, with its principle of Ja-sagen. The character of Siegfried was the inspiration for the Ubermensch. The relationship between Wotan and Siegfried, explicated in the first two scenes of this act, was the inspiration for that between Zarathustra and the Ubermensch. In addition Wotan does not only embody present man, but is also the living creator and ruler of the old order, the past, what Siegfried must destroy, what Nietzsche aimed to demolish, and as such his Untergang is furnished with a greater dramatic life. After the smashing of the god's speer, Brunnhilde sings a paean to earthly life:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoYkK6T-lGk
>>24107621Very hard to choose since his aphoristic writing makes all his work kind of bleed together with some exceptions like Genealogy and Antichrist.. maybe Gay Science for its bountiful wisdom I always return to
