No Wolfe comes out of this looking pretty good. Have you actually looked into Gaiman's associations with Wolfe? Because I have, and Gaiman is basically a midwit compared to Wolfe. All of their interactions come across as Gaiman trying very hard to impress Wolfe and Wolfe just sort of tolerating him mildly. There's a clear intelligence gap between them if you bother to assess their relationship, and it doesn't flatter ol' Gayman.
