I thought this book was "pretty alright" after reading it the first time but my opinion of it only gets better the more people I see malding about it here.

I'd rather re-read Neuromancer than be raped by Neil Gaiman. As tedious as it is, it's at least (very) light entertainment, akin to an episode of season three televsion show: there is a modicum of pace and action, a little better than staring out a plane window (unless you were flying over somewhere novel and exicting). It does serve the purpose of teaching you how empty genre fiction is of literary merit, without boring you to death or insulting your intelligence and taste too much. That said if I were asked to read Gibson's subsequent works I'd reach for the butter stick.

His BURNING CHROME collection, however, is absolutely ‘T’ for tremendous.

JOURNEY TO THE END OF THE NIGHT is one of the few joys in life that actually lives up to the hype… take it back.

the first is : "honk,sho,honk,sho"
the second is : "hooooonk,mimimimimi"

But enough about being raped by Neil Gaiman.

Admitting so shamelessly that you're a pseud. Typical /lit/

Tbf Neil Gaiman's rapes are a sensory experience that Gibson can't contend with.

Just because I don't like the bloke does not mean I can't recommend him a good read, innit?

Amber series by Roger Zelazny or anything else by that author. Simply because I don't want my worst enemy to enjoy such great books.

I've never seen Neuromancer haters before. Are you into different midcentury Sci-Fi? It reminded me of a better more fully thought out and less kitschy version of On a Pale Horse.
