Do britishers actually function the way people do in harry potter?

Everything is controlled by an overbearing over regulating ministry, everyone talks in either fake route politeness or outbursts of hysteric emotions, rarely any frank honesty, either good willed or results focused. Its more important what side you are and who you know rather then trying to understand other interests. No one knows how to go for the emotional or logical jugular and just stews in passive aggressiveness. Cheating is fine if you are in the right company. And Its despicable when someone else does it, but you dont bring it up anyways and continue to do the passive aggressiveness thing.

This applies to both the kids and the adults. Is this more a JK Rowling Woman thing or a broader british culture thing?

Without examples your post is meaningless and this just seems like a thinly veiled excuse for nationalist bullshit

>nationalist bullshit
?
WTF here is nationalist?
Characters dont argue the difference between what they believe and what the ministry sees. Harry could easily trap Umbrage by saying "So truth is what the ministry dictates even if its against what I experienced?". Or otherwise argue anything from a fundemental point of logic. In the book Hermione goes "Just ignore him" about Draco even though the little shit keeps doing it so ignoring him isnt working. It would be so easy to shut him up by attacking his ego with easy examples like how he keeps loosing at Broomgame or the fact that he needs to cheat to win at broomgame, demonstrably showing hes a loser. Or asking him to prove hes better then Hermione instead of hiding behind a title. You can nip these things in the butt SO easy. But they just stew in it. Hermione is in to rules for rules sake, but then messes someone up so that Ron can make the broomgame team. Characters like or dislike rules, but not out of principle, just because its "what you do".

I dont really see how thats nationalist, thats just being annoyed with everyone being passive agressive and partisan instead of direct and trying to be even handed.
