I'm sick and tired of my wagecuck job. I want to read a book about pirates. Men who got tired of their society and ran off and were able to liberate themselves from all of the "moral" obligations and expectations of it. Men who were free. It doesn't have to be pirates, so long as it fits this theme of GTFO'ing normie society while also asserting oneself.

>tfw you envision OP slaving away and coping with genre fiction
>>24110937Add a cute hebe gf for the protagonist
>>24110992OP here. I lost my job, I'm not going back anytime soon. If that's even sadder, well it is what it is, but fuck wagecuck life.
>>24110965First-rate book, but unless I massively misunderstood it it's not about someone on a quest to liberate themselves from obligations. The main force driving Jim is his guilt at failing in his obligations as a seaman.
