The crux of the book is that nation-state based democracies will not be able to control the proliferation of disinformation, competing truth claims, propaganda etc in the information age which will undermine and destroy western style democracies and the Westphalian nation-state model in which they exist.Amid the ensuing chaos, technological elites will be able to distance themselves, securely insulated from the turmoil by their wealth, much like a rapture-like apocalyptic scenario. From the rubble of civilization they will rise as "sovereign individuals". Globalist lords whom use their dominance of technology and the fractured world economy to impose a kind of techno feudalism hellscape.....presumably with pajeet serfs.Anyway.
