ehhh, just came back from Bangkok a month ago started regretting i did not coomed MORE. I'd say it's because he's just an easy guy to like.
Very easy to get into his books, his prose is simple yet effective for 99% of people who have never read a book before and he also is very engaged with his community, is always writing and publishing new books, etc
He's the MCU of the modern epic fantasy genre, for better or worse.
