Getting my Masters this yeah and picked a topic with neologisms and their translation. The only one I think off the top of my head is Tolkien, but that was written about multiple times. Which book would you recommend with plenty neologisms? Preferably something not too niche so I can find a translated version.

Neuromancer
Dune
Book of the New Sun
Uhhh I'm assuming Brandon Sanderson's books
Most SFF books I would think, in fact.

By William Gibson?

Great, will choose of those. I`m more of a classical fantasy guy and read only Mechwarrior books if they count as SFF. And some old Russian sci-fi, like Kir Bulychev and Belyaev.

Another good one would be The Cyberiad by Stanislav Lem. This one though has been translated from Polish to English (I read it in English) and that one has lots of neologisms and I always wondered what the translator's method was of translating these funny Polish phrases into English portmanteaus. Might be a good thing to read and study to give your work some context.

I will definitely add it to the read list, because I`ve heard of Lem before and just didn`t have to read something Polish. It was translated to Russian as well, makes it even easier.
