The twilight series is actually pretty good. There are 60,000 books published every year, almost none are remembered. This is and for good reason. There's a lot of original thought and a completely original take on the vampire legend.

People shit on it because it's dismissed as "chick lit" and popular.

It's only remembered because of the movies.

People always lambast Bella’s naïveté in falling in love with Edward, but these criticisms are always, to me, evidence of an acute soullessness. How could you live knowing there exist actual vampires which are not just regular blood suckers but basically a race of immortal ubermensches. Bella’s desire for Edward is just as much a desire to escape from the drab mundanity of living in a fuck off town in America.

Y'all niggas have shit taste, these books are boring.

It was a publishing phenomenon well before the films. Entire rainforests were felled to print copies to keep up with demand. It'll take generations for all those physical books to disappear.
>>
>bro are you team gay vampires or team gay werewolves??
>>

That was a movie thing. The books don't have that cringe element in the fanbase.

we would all give our left nut just to have a book be half as successful as the Twilight series.

Meyer is a multimillionaire now

These books set off a fascinating phenomenon of mass psychology where a bunch of guys who largely didn't care about vampires or vampire fiction got really mad about the sparkling Twilight vampires. Tons of strident blog posts and forum posts were written at the time about how our beloved classic movie monsters were being turned into non-threatening boyfriend archetypes and how this is an unmistakable sign of civilizational decline.

and they were right

>I want to stick my dick in a big furry werewolf lady
Perverted Incels
>I want to take werewolf knot
Same, Queen

The double standard is ridiculous.

Your thinking needs to be corrected by education.
