Do you read one big book / series at a time or do read multiple short ones at once?
>>24116703one thing at a time, and taking notes. If you multitask at anything, you do every task poorly. In this context, i end up not committing to any story in particular and forgetting everything immediately.
I can't do multiple books at a time. My max is 2 books, be it fiction or non-fiction. Maybe it's just me but being suckered into the book is what I want, so if I flip-flop between more than 2 books, I end up losing the 'essence' of the book.
I read multiple big books/series at once

>>24116703Mostly short stories.
>>24116703I read one big book and one small book at a time. That way I can frequently feel the satisfaction of finishing a new book while still making progress on the big fuckers. In a given month I usually finish one big book and three or four small ones.
>>24116703It varies, often it’s one fiction and one non fiction and maybe some poetry a little at a time. ATM I’m also reading a collection of short stories which is at the rate of one a week, every thursday. Sometimes I do just focus on one book, usually for shorter books actually
