Is dyslexia real? Does anyone here have any experience with it? Has it hindered your reading?
Yes, it is real
>>24116988I dated a girl who was severely dyslexic. She was one of the smartest people I've ever known, but came across like someone who was homeschooled because of the enormous social gap which grows between people who can read freely and people like her. Since she couldn't just read and comprehend things, she had a TON of weird beliefs which were the result of her own brain just coming to its own conclusions without any outside input.Bottom line, she was fucked socially. This whole putting them in a "neurodivergent" category is dumb. They're literally the same as everyone else, they just have a harder time learning how to read and no one bothers to teach them how to read early on, so they just end up in special ed programs which still don't teach them how to read and the rift between them and everyone else gets bigger and bigger until they start acting really different than everyone else and no one knows why.Teach them to read and they'll do just fine and not act so weird.Want to know why I mention teaching them to read like it's easy? Oh, that would be because of an evil word that people in education only say in whispers, if at all: phonics.Well now they're calling it the "science of reading" and pretending like it's not phonics. So long as they don't find some way to fuck up something that's tried and true and only deny its usefulness in name, then most publicly schooled individuals with dyslexia should find themselves able to read and not end up feeling like outcasts.
>>24116988Yes, brain damage is realYes, high technology is dysgenicYes, this is a good thing, Mr Shekelberg says so
>>24116988It's actually a power play by the ruling elite, they know dyslexics are a threat to their power and print everything in a way to make it difficult for dyslexics but is easy to read for the retard majority.
>>24116988>benefit>learn in different ways No, dyslexics are at best just shitty at reading and at worst probably retarded. If you want those traits just hire a street nigger
>>24117065>Want to know why I mention teaching them to read like it's easy? Oh, that would be because of an evil word that people in education only say in whispers, if at all: phonics>PhonicsWait....isn't that the normal ways of learning to read
>>24117580>Wait....isn't that the normal ways of learning to readNo clue but Hooked on Phonics worked for me.
>>24116988I still don't understand exactly what dyslexia even is. Is it actually just seeing words scrambled like in movies? I've had actual dyslexic people try to explain it to me and I still didn't get it.
>>24116988The correct term is "lysdexia" You're welcome. That's how you know you have it.
>>24117580Apparently no longer in Burgerland
