Listen, fucker, you probably couldn't even write a crime thriller so give up on trying to write the next Ulysses.
this reveals a spiritually and intellectually bankrupt perspective
>>24118630Nah, hard earned wisdom
>>24118631are you a disillusioned writer who's calling from the bogs where you are mired, so as to entrap other writers threading their way? cause that aint wisdom chief, that's pathetic
>>24118638Just fuck off. Bitch boy
>>24118624Jokes on you, my modern-day Ulysses *is* a crime thriller.
>yeah I'll go online and demoralize everyone for no reasonnot cool
I think op is right. Even if you dedicate as much of your time as possible you will still be less well read and less skilled than the average secondary school graduate from a hundred years ago. And this isn't an insult to /lit/ as most here genuinely are above average already.
>>24118624This is fair, particuarly when I see the kind of thing that passes as valid criticism on this board. Seems like there's a lot of blind leading the blind. Although I'm certain the person who writes the next Ulysses will have definetly been on /lit/ at some point, as it is the only worthwhile place for literary discussion.
>>24118645i'm not the manlet bitching from the BOG. only people who are totally mentally devastated are writing for publication. the writer writes to express their will. fuck pub odds, at the end of your life, what will you be happier to have failed at? writing a fucking tom clancy novel or writing FUCKING ULYSSES? attempting the latter will have transformed your life
I wish I had a book I liked enough that I felt inspired to write even a copy of it.
>>24118661Yeah yeah yeah
>>24118661You're titty bitch boy btw
>>24118662What is it like to really love a book? I don't even know why I read
>>24118674one of us writes, one of us bitches
>>24118731My darling anon. It's literally just been you bitching
