Let's say I write some good shit, 200 pages long. Nice history, have people wanting more... Etc etc.In what ways could I make money from it? Donations? Sales on amazon or something?I have no experience in the "market" of books/ebooks and I need money
Answer me
>>24119032Yes. But mostly smut
>>24119032Depends what you write. Smut, fanfiction, substack, get money via patreon, or a real novel, etc etc
just find a publisher, don't forget knee pads
>>24119095I dont get down like that>>24119076If you wanted to make money, what would you write?>>24119071I assume the smut market is super saturated, right?
>>24119111If I solely cared about money, I would make Youtube videos. So, writing scripts and editing.
>>24119111>I assume the smut market is super saturated, right?Absolutely, but it doesn't seem to matter. Women are crazy gooners
>>24119119>Youtube videos>Scripts and editingI dont understand>>24119123And where would I sell this coomer pdf?
>>24119143>And where would I sell this coomer pdf?Unironically reddit
>>24119032yes but you gotta hustle for a long time before you see any profit. Its about building an audience, keeping a consistent schedule, shilling yourself and paying for advertisements and trying to stand above the 400 other books released just that day alone.
>>24119032>good shitFirst mistake. You need to publish consistently and to market which means writing a lot. Doesn't have to be slop but it is easier to make money with market oriented stuff like erotica, romance, litrpg/progression, "cozy" (books where nothing happens)Getting a good back catalog going is key. Think like a pulp fiction author.>200 pagesProbably not enough in the sci fi/fantasy sphere. 80k+ words are expected. Romance is shorter, erotica can be ~10k shorts. >"market"Amazon KDP is the go-to. Alternatives include Smashwords, D2D. Check out eroticauthors, selfpublish on reddit for advice. Alternatives include selling PDFs on your website, gumroad, etc.Now keep in mind that treating writing as a job will probably ruin your vision of yourself as an author, and likely make you hate writing altogether at times.Good luck anon. We're in this together.
