What are some books that involve a lot of smoking or are centered around the act? Specifically cigarettes. (Hard mode: no noir)

Also post what you smoke. I just got a pack of some Chinese cigarettes and they were good. Tasted like plums.

It seems like just about everyone in Salinger's short stories smokes

Zyn won, btw

Doesn’t the first James Bond book open with him smoking 40 cigarettes ?
>>
Quitters Incorporated by Stephen King

I don't know how to describe it without spoiling it, just say it's about quitting smoking.

Everyone did back then.

Smokers are so fucking gay lol
>>

How so? It’s very aesthetically pleasing, gives a short ritualized break in life, enhances cognitive thought and creativity and provides a momentary pleasure. I’m not even a big smoker myself, just not sure what you think is “gay” about the vice other than the fact that it’s unhealthy. But if that’s the case do you also consider alcohol gay? Or processed food?

Doesn’t match the aesthetic of cigarettes though

What are some good books but for smoking weed?

Literally a book about the act and history of smoking. The dude, a Cuban expat who spoke fluent English, wrote one of the most linguistically innovative Spanish books of the 20th century, then spent nearly 20 years in London and wrote this, a tractatus on a love and history of smoking tobacco.

nta but smoking is kind of like sucking cock. that's why smoking cigars especially has been seen as an erotic or homoerotic act. bill clinton famously used a cigar to simulate oral sex on his young interns in order to arouse the passion in them and then he would dive in it is all in the history books now
