Hoping I get this job I interviewed for today but I don't think I will. They asked me shit I just should've known, and at one point I had a thoughtless slip-up (told them I worked for their arch-rival, basically, when I meant a friendlier company with a similar-sounding name) that I didn't correct for several minutes. I'm not really qualified for it but if I got it I'd triple my salary. Worried about the demands it'll make on my time, though. Not like I was doing anything productive with it anyway.

Shoulda eaten more greens and drank more milk as a kid. Too late now though. Many such cases, sad!

It is indeed. That picture reminds me of high school. I suppose that's why Taylor Swift is so popular.

I was pushing against my chest as hard as I could with a towel to dry my shirt, and it made a cracking sound. No pain. Hopefully nothing bad happened.

this is the first time I've met someone else who can crack their sternocostal joint. I usually crack mine by puffing out my chest and trying to touch my shoulder blades together. Feels good
>>
>>24733877
I had no idea there was a joint in the sternum. I crack pretty much every joint in my body all the time.
>>
>>24733880
they're the joints that connect your sternum to your ribcage. if the crack was in the center of your chest, square in the middle, it was probably the manubriosternal joint. that's the place where the upper two parts of your sternum connect along a thin strip of cartilage. that's the one I can crack. there's some more joints in there, they allow your chest to flex and curl with your back
>>
I got my free flu and Covid 2025-2026 shots from CVS today. My arm is sore.

She's popular for different reasons I think. I certainly am a big fan of her folk albums and I really wish she would do another one, but they were products of the pandemic I guess. Somehow they happen to have both "summer" and "autumn/winter" vibes, but this time of year is especially fit to listen to them. Also I'm just gonna throw this out there, Candlemass is also perfect for late September/early October. Taylor Swift definitely does not make me yearn for high school, anyways.

I can't stop thinking that life could be good, but it will never be good for me. I'd like to live the good life and spend time on contemplation. I would also like to find a community, preferably IRL where I could talk about interesting things with interesting people. This is not going to happen. I am old and strange and dull. Camatte is right when he says the goal is building community. The scariest part is that it's likely that a lot of people feel this way. Life could be good, but maybe not for the middle of the bell curve. Still, I don't have much of an option other than trying for the good life; all other avenues are clearly closed.

I'm not so cynical to believe that everything sucks and everyone who says otherwise is coping, not yet, but I have a hard time believing that the nice things in life will ever be a part of *my* life. I think true love really happens, and I've seen it happen to people, but not to me. I think it's possible to achieve your dreams, but I never achieved mine. And so on.

Dogs have started to actively dislike me, or at least turn around and take notice of me when I'm near them. This is starting to freak me out. What the fuck? Do I just give off aggressive vibes? I have never abused an animal in my life, I actually love dogs, cats, and all manner of beasts. But for some reason now dogs seem to regard me with suspicion. What gives?

I basically told her
>I realize that I went after you not really because of "love" but because I feared losing my connection with you. I recognize that I put you through a tough time, and I regret what I did
without expecting anything. We hadn't talked for a year at this point, and I wanted to not just lighten my own conscience but show that I acknowledge my own fault in what happened (I was an annoying prick; let's just put it like that).
I was 90 percent sure that she wouldn't reply to me at all. But all of a sudden, she did, saying what I did was nothing to her, it's all in the past, and we'd be friends and such. I couldn't believe it, really
Now I'm at a loss as to what to do. I don't want to come on too strong and make her think I'm coming after her again. I don't want to put her through that again, and I don't want to put myself through that again too.
I want to go about my life focusing on my stuff, that's all. But I don't think that's right either.

Do something that you love because without passion, it will get tiring really quickly. Do not do it alone if possible, find an associate. If you have someone in your life, ask yourself: are we solid? Be ready to work your ass off, you cannot build anything without the will to work hard. Above all else, go all in. In the end, it is all a big bet. It was also a way to escape wageslavery for me too.

I can be happy that I'm not popular. But I know 40+ people, and I sent out my story to them.
Nobody said cool, nobody said they enjoyed it, nobody said they even read it. I feel if I ask them about it they would say they didn't even know I sent it. Compared that to my friend whose been making a game, and how much popularity he got for it, and it really fucks me up.
It made me realized that I do not have the skill of marketing. I don't know how my friend can convince strangers to play his game, while I cannot get my friends to read 2K words. But it made me realized that it is a real skill that I need to cultivate, especially down the road.

It doesn't help that my story is political/historical fantasy, which doesn't help. I wonder if I made an Isesaki would people listen. I didn't share it with my wife because I know she would not care/it would go over her head, which hurts most of all.

...hanging out with them every week bores me. A lot. It's only tolerable with alcohol, and if I lived alone, I’d much rather stay at home. As I’ve written many times before, it’s always the same dinner, the same lunch, the same conversation, the same beer. It’s a shallow connection, equally rewarding as solitude but way more tiring.

There is never enough, you need to start looking down instead of up.
I live in a shitty country and I earn 40k a year, people in the same field keep changing jobs, working their ass off and being stressed.
I got a 60k offer this week and while it is tempting, it would not improve my current life style in any way, and in my current job I slack off most of the day, something that would probably not be possible in a new job, so I refused it.

I met him and I was like, 'Wow, fuckin' Squiggy.' Anyway, I meet the guy and he's carrying a mace, but it looks like he stole the table leg off his mom's kitchen table and put, like, nails through it and shit. And he was wearing this $1.99 cape that you'd buy at the dollar store during Halloween. They brought me backstage and they said, 'Uranus, or whatever, from MAYHEM is there and wants to meet you.' So I went out there and met him. And in his broken English, he said [in robotic, foreign accent] 'I did not have problem with you, but this band GORGUTS. They are not true death-metal/black-metal band.' And I was just sitting there with a big shit-eating grin on my face like, 'Yeah, that's cool, man.' And I really didn't know the importance of the guy. To me he looked like another goofball fan.

There's a reason people in the army say that to each other. People enlist for three reasons; first, they're poor and desperate and have no other options, second, they're too retarded to survive in the real world, and third, they're psychopaths who want to hurt other people. I'd guess that 70% are the first and 25% are the second. If you're the first then maybe the Army's worth it. If you're not, literally anything else is better.

Does the cringe end or does it merely transform?

I sent some of my writings (not gonna share with you) to a friend and he seems to genuinely like it but I'm also genuinely dying from cringe. He sent me a 3 minute long voice message pointing out what he liked about my writing and I spent the whole time just screaming (and moaning) like a girl from how embarrassed I felt. I had to take a break each half a minute or so.
>>
>>24735505
If this is genuinely what you think then you should join the Army KEK make sure to tell your drill sergeant this is why you joined
>>
>>24735517
No it's not US army, but I would probably enlist there if I was a mutt. I mean the army sends you to dangerous places where you have to fight for your survival. It's the ultimate adrenaline kick compared to the boring civil world. It is also advantageous for any aspiring militia man to have been to battle.
What do we remember about the Greeks, the Romans? We remember the wars they fought. It is the only human activity that matters long term. They are the sole driver of human progress, and the only men who made a difference, in history, were the ones who overcame their effeminate weaknesses to join the battlefield (except for maybe rare altruist who sacrificed everything to help the poor).

You must be pretty young. I was in the US Army, got deployed to Afghanistan, this is a meme you will stop believing the first time you hear a grown man gurgle out the words "momma please" before he dies. Granted IDK what country you're in, so you might not be deployed to an active conflict zone. But this is a reason for enlisting that only retards and teenagers have.

I don't think writing is a relevant activity. It is something for vain rich people who feel self-important. I guess you have an excuse to do so if you're basing it off of first-hand accounts. But in this day and age no one reads anymore. Even if there was people capable of writing master works no one would read them nor be capable of realizing their true value. No one cares about comprehending this society or actually analyzing things. The only thing that matters is how much money you have and how much time you spend in useless leisure eating 'fine food' - the peak obsession of vain degenerates.
>>
>>24735695
You have no rights in the corporation. Society has lost this special kind of liberality where being against a group doesn't prevent you from being part of that group. If you are active in a socialist community outside of work they will most likely fire you.
>>
>>24735710
with the poet there is always the tinge of arrogance in the thought that his own poetry has a lasting quality which most of his contemporaries cannot claim. one english poet said there is a necessity in arrogance.
>>
>>24735720
If we meta-analyze this in a broader social classes scope we can safely say that most poets are vain upper-middle class degenerates who love to spend all day on a desk farting on their chair.
>>
>>24735725
isn't that just... dumb.
doesn't really hold up.
>>
>>24735736
People who say 'yeah there is a necessity to arrogance' what kind of people would say such a thing in a social setting? Like the goal of behaving arrogantly in social settings is to put other people down to derive some kind of status and superficial admiration from others of it. People emotionally reliant on attention from other people, thus effeminate and generally raised in an environment where the adquisition of materials counted little.
>>
>>24735736
In a word it signifies a lack of cooperative qualities.
>>
>>24735749
>>24735755
>duck him! scratch his face! tar and feather him!
isn't this a STEM reply?

why do poets write? why do they go on polishing the rough ideas which, once on paper, even in a crude and messy form, should give the mental conflict complete relief? why, if the conflict is purely a personal one, do they definitely attempt to press the poem on their neighbour's imagination with all the zeal of a gospeller?

there is arrogance in that, the arrogance of a child who takes for granted that all the world is interested in its doings and clever sayings. the emotional crises that make poetry, imply suffering, and suffering usually humiliation, so that the poet makes his secret or open confidence in his poetic powers a set-off against a sense of alienation from society due to some physical deformity, stigma of birth or other early spite of nature, or against his later misfortunes in love.
>>
>>24735775
I wouldn't say all poets are arrogant in the traditional sense, but I do feel like many of them, and people from similar professional milieus, suffer from that special kind of upper-middle class narcissism and self-obsession that makes urban people so disgusting.

Nowadays wars are fought for the interests of retarded politicians and many times terribly mismanaged.
However, a navy seals is still more virile than any effeminate banker or lazy 9-5 worker.

>>
>>24735854
You're unironically retarded. It's not like movie clips and glitch-edit memes of strong men holding big guns while badass music plays through your phone speakers. There's no glory in fighting for your life. I know because I've done it. It's deafeningly loud and confusing and brutal and smells putrid and you feel more afraid than you thought physically possible. Your entire body trembles with deep, black, soul-level terror. I don't mean "terror" as in "cool word for fear," I mean you learn the true meaning of the word "terrified." At the end one of your friends will never walk again, or is dead, or you will never walk again, or you're dead, and you'll never have a good night's sleep again in your life. No glory in it at all, who lives and who dies is basically arbitrary.
>>
>>24735924
What matters is the purpose you're fighting for. Doing all that for the interests of capitalists, sure, that's a useless war. As I already pointed out my country is currently not going to war so it would make sense to stay there and learn more about weapons and practical battle sims.
>>
Individualism is like riding a roller coaster then claiming you can fly
>>
>>24735923
>flies and lions are perfectly analogous to humans
i will remember this next time
more babies = better. nature rewards reproduction. that doesn’t make humans flies, it makes us alive, virile, and continuing the species. if you want to moralise about quality over quantity, be aware that quantity is literally the metric evolution uses.
>>
>>24735944
If evolution uses quantity as a metric there would be more lions than flies.

I begin my sporadic interpretation of hegel, having never read a book of philosophy. Obviously it will be a highly intuitive and personal interpretation, and undoubtedly very off-the-mark from Hegel's actual thought

what is sense-certainty

hegel in the beginning of the phenomenology talks about sense-certainty as being the necessarily first kind of knowledge. He goes on to describe what having this knowledge is like for the knower. It's a lot like if a camera had the mental capacity to observe its footage. It goes no farther than experiencing immediately, without further constructs of mind, the mind-constructed texture of being. Sense-certainty as knowledge can still be experienced by the mind today (i think, if i get hegel) when you lay under a blanket and feel (know) the immediate, undifferentiated warmth produced by the body. It's the mind 'feeling' being in the way

now hegel will go on to describe the properties of this kind of knowledge, starting with some of its limitations

Death be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadfull, for, thou art not soe,
For, those, whom thou think'st, thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poore death, nor yet canst thou kill mee.
From rest and sleepe, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure, then from thee, much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee doe goe,
Rest of their bones, and souls deliverie.
Thou art slave to Fate, Chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poyson, warre, and sicknesse dwell,
And poppie, or charmes can make us sleepe as well,
And better than thy stroake; why swell'st thou then?
One short sleepe past, wee wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die.

there is much disagreement, often political, in academic literary studies, but i think the main cause of it is economic: it is the publishing industry that has changed radically (after Amazon's takeover of distribution and some self-publishing); it seems to create a division between schools of thought and different sociocultural camps. while the broad diversity should be seen driving change, i do not want to be mealy-mouthed, for I think the schisms have created a discipline that is increasingly individualistic and unfair, while education is privatized under neoliberalism. the idea that we all have a choice and can merely explore the market of ideas, is a confused and naive worldview.

it's curious, i never realised it until now, but i was an idiot for a long time. despite scoring well on verbal iq tests, i am a stump, a stone, a lump. for a while, i was in a rut and was unable to be self reflective; i was also consuming a lot of cultural media i wasn't particularly even fond of, but enjoyed the conceit of them; it nonetheless made me depressed to read stuff that was uninteresting

Participation on 4chan can exacerbate depression, resentment, and emotional instability by amplifying social isolation and promoting a nihilistic worldview. The site’s anonymous, ephemeral structure discourages meaningful social bonds, replacing genuine connection with fleeting interactions that can deepen loneliness. Users are frequently exposed to extreme negativity, cynicism, and humor rooted in suffering, normalizing a worldview in which life feels meaningless and moral frameworks arbitrary. Niche boards often function as echo chambers, amplifying feelings of alienation and resentment toward society or perceived outsiders, while anonymity rewards impulsive, reactive expressions of anger and despair. Over time, these factors create a self-reinforcing cycle in which shallow social validation, pervasive cynicism, and reinforced resentment erode emotional resilience, leaving users more isolated, emotionally volatile, and prone to depressive thought patterns.

sussy that andrew tate bap grindset really effective cuz it taps into envy and jealousy, like seeing all the wealth, perfect bodies, and status makes you feel bad about ur own life but also kinda wanna be that person so u keep looking and buying into it. but really its only powerful cuz we want to believe in it, like we suspend doubt and imagine we could actually live that heroic, elite life even tho its totally unrealistic. without wanting it to be real it wouldnt work at all.

I have goals that I would consider self-actualization, steps that I want to take to achieve my greatest self. I am close and yet so far when I am unable to act out this production fantasy. My reality compromises with my head by allowing me to describe my effort as adequate when I know it is not my best. I cannot cater to myself, I do not know myself well enough to facilitate my true path. I am not a spectre haunting a pile of flesh, I am beholden to my body for my own cognition and I abuse myself in order to create the conditions to realize myself despite knowing what I am doing is actually sabotage. The gap between me and my goals is simply the patience and grace I afford myself, which is a budget of none. Doubtless many have tripped on this stone, which I have come so far to stumble on over and over again. I know this and I see it with my eyes, and yet I trip on it once more. As if I had the memory of a goldfish. Because I cannot envision a world in which I truly exist as I exist now where I do the things I want to do. I can see me working, but not living with my work. Being able to turn a decision into a routine. Turning my life into a series of processes without external stimuli outside of my refinement.

I think I have a vague understanding of what true beauty means now, or rather what it's trying to imply. It's very likely not a new theory but I'll still try to express it anyway just so I can get a grasp at it. Beauty is in fact objective, but beauty has to be in accordance with the idea that is trying to express, or rather express that idea correctly. Like if I express the idea of a 'circle', there is a guide that explicity tells you how to draw one and there is a perfect representation of it. That circle that you will draw, if done perfectly, will represent its beauty outright, or its correctness per se. Just how models, celebrities and actors are chosen to be beautiful. There is always a standard that comes to being beautiful and in the models' case, I think it's how well those faces express those emotions, feelings and how erotic they are etc. I feel like love is related in a way but I can't quite express it. My mind is still kinda jumbled around these things. But overall I think the question that should be asked is 'What kind of standard does this fit in?' . Maybe there's a better question for it but whatever.

It's probably because you crave freedom rather than death and you would believe that death would give you freedom which is too rash of a decision to do.

Read Sun and Steel by Mishima. He might be able to help you pin down the meaning of beauty further. Just don't listen to him about an-heroing at the apex of beauty or whatever.

Rest in peace. I never hated you. Not even now, despite everything. I'm just sad this is how it all turned out in the end. Goodbye.

My ex said she just wanted me to love her but would often push me away (she is BPD)

She recently blocked me because I was drunk and couldn’t stop gushing over her; she had just been in a breakup

Imagine finding yourself an Aryan wife and become a rancher "colonizer style" in SA. Isolated from the urbanites and pretty much everyone else, save other farmers, for the ranch will provide with everything necessary through nothing but hard labour only. You would never have to deal with plebs or government again. Think about it.

Yes, it is. The H1b thing is not going to reverse the situation for new programmers.

When I was about 6 years old I hat to undergo surgery because of my severe phimosis (not a circumcision but I did lose my frenulum). Before the surgery and the actual anesthesia, I was injected with a sedative, anally; as is (or was, I don't know if it's still like that) common practice with kids for some reason I forgot. The injection only lasted for about a second or two, and it didn't feel good at all, it hurt, but it majorly fucked up my sexuality I feel like.
When I first started masturbating, at the age of 7, I did so to the thought of aliens molesting me and shoving things up my ass. I started shoving things up my ass myself in real life when I was 12 and did so for a couple years before stopping because I got scared I might fuck up my sphincter if I continued. That was also the age where I started jerking off to otokonko stuff, and yeah, I've jerked it to femboy shit before as well, but that came later, and I always feel bad afterewards. I masturbate to hetero stuff as well, but nothing gets me hard as fast as written or drawn femboy shit. But I don't really find real men attractive, never been with a man and the thought of kissing something with a beard makes me gag. I don't think I'm gay but I'm definitely deranged and I genuinely believe the "meme" that homosexual rape is how homosexuals reproduce is true. This is the first time I've ever written about this anywhere and I've never told it to anyone either nor do I plan on doing so. Picture not related I just wanted to attach something.
