Sally Rooney's idea of communism is very whataboutist, so it feels like virtue signaling. The incipit was generic, male readers might think it's basically a romance novel disguised as a litfic.

im trying to write a book that reinterprets my journals of the past 10 years into something digestible and approachable and im treating those pages as sort of raw data for it. Im having fun sticking ideas and passages that come to me on my wall and i believe i have a good list of characters and their motivations and stories but i think im getting too married to this idea and i believe im having more fun planning than what actually comes - the writing. Does planning end when i feel ready to start putting down the words or should i just stop now and just start seeing what comes out?

As for jews, the jokes write themselves. There always seems to be a jew engaging in some form of financial fraud or acting in a very public sketchy way. Am I to ignore this objective reality? For various asians: I genuinely just admire your various cultures and various mockings of your accents are purely in jest. China in particular exhibits a breathtakingly consequential and consistent cultural and ethnic influence throughout the centuries.
