Being captured by the Mad Lord and put into a puppet was a weird arc. I expected him to be far more affected by this than he was, especially given how many years passed.
I’m now in the arc where he’s learning with the Azure sect, and parts of it seem a bit repetitive. More interested in what’s going on plot wise, for questions like the heart tribe and so on.

I actually worked in taxes for a few years and had to at one point hand-calculate people's business income taxes, tracking their tax liability for both Canada and the United States. Let's actually take a look here.

$4500 flat per month is $54,000 per year. To note, I live on about $45k a year and I live in an expensive state (Massachusetts). That's besides the point. The main thing is that yearly figure, that's Wildbow's AGI.

Let's assume this is US dollars as that's how Patreon lists them. Conversion wouldn't matter too much due to commutative property. I am using 2026 tax values for both countries.

I'm starting with Canadian taxes first, assuming he didn't move to say, Texas or something to save money. That means he'd still be living in a small Ontario town where there was only one woman aged 25-35 within 100km of him.

The BPA this year was $16,452. That means the remaining $37,548 is taxable, all within the Federal bracket of 14% and the Provincial bracket of 5.05%.

The opening dialog sequence confused me as to who was talking. When you break the dialog apart like that with two participants it's expected that each break in dialog is a switch of who's talking. But it looks like you break one of them up and I got confused and thought Hinami was saying her own name at the end. Had to go back and try to sus out what was actually happening.

About the manga itself: the prose says he turned a page which makes me think he's holding a physical book. But the hiatus message reads like something from a webnovel so that confused me. (Not too familiar with how mangas work so maybe that's a me problem.)

I liked MC's internal monologue. Fun and energetic.

It looks like you start putting a single sentence on each line for some reason? Kinda messed up the flow. Put some of those together.
