I don't know why the Guntank was an evolutionary dead end. There should've been plenty of uses for a support mobile suit that can lay down devastating indirect fire.

Crouching and kneeling was more for its 240mm shell-firing cannons. Point is that beam cannons have less recoil than comparably sized projectile cannons.

>>22697576Because then it stops maneuvering like a mobile suit and moves more like a ship, fighter, or some mobile armors. I mean yeah, AMBAC is mostly a cop-out answer and it rarely ever gets realistically displayed in animation, but it does work in theory at least.
