I really wished we actually saw what Grados was like and Ken Asuka's life amongst them. Like why the fuck did they allow a Japanese astronaut into their ranks and he managed to marry a Gradosian nobleman? I honestly felt bad for Gail. As for Daba from L-Gaim, he's probably akin to Lelouch from Code Geass in holding his cards close to him and even deceiving his friends and allies. So I wouldn't say he's more alpha than contemporary mecha leads so much as he's far more savvy and definitely even villain-esque on how far he's willing to go.
