Dougram thread.
Not ecen justice
>>22835439One of the best anime ever made.
The true saviour of Deloyer
>>22835439>FASAI see your stealth BT meme. In which case, would Dougram be a good watch for a Battletech grog?
>>22835491I think so. The mechs jump around a lot and Dougram does have some pretty sizable plot armor early on at least but aside from that the show is pretty grounded as far as mecha battles go, and I think Mechwarriors would appreciate the politics--guys like Denon and Lecoque would make for ruthless operators during the Succession War era.
anon you have Macross mecha in the background of your Dougram fan art what is this shittery
>>22837571Americans sometimes have a habit of just taking stuff when they cannot make itt. American
>>22837571It's called a cameo.
>>22837571I doubt drool has seen either of those shows, he just took a pic from another thread.
>>22835491Dougram has the closest applicability to BT of the Unseen IPs I can think of, it's not as mechs-as-1st-class-citizen the way Succ Wars era makes battlemechs the final word in ground level operations but if you're a Raselhauger at heart you'll probably stand in solidarity with the Deloyeran independence cause.
>>22837571Cropped Box art from early 1980's BattleTech. Hence FASA. Steve Venters did quite a few of these eerie Okawara pastiche works for early BT.
>>22838709The 80's were a hell of a drug. I do miss the walls of Revell reboxed kits from every JP manufacturer in the Toys"R"Us.
Is this broken up into arcs like VOTOMS?
>>22841642its more like a continuous story line from beginning too end
>>22842297Not even soft arcs?
>>22835491Yes, and I say this as someone who watched Dougram before playing a single BT/MW game. The portrayal of the Combat Armors in the show aren't far from what Battlemechs are capable of doing (with the notable exception of Soltics in pyjamas); you'll have a blast with your BT goggles on tight.
>>22844309sure its seperated into soft archs but if you stop paying attention for a bit you could get easily loose where you actually can loose track where you are in the story
