I think the thing that really gets me about the premise is the idea that the MotW are merely part-timers. Kidnapping humans isn't a full-time gig for them, they probably have another job off-screen especially considering they're seemingly paid in dark snacks. They're helping to kill people merely to feed their own addiction, which might be why they aren't full time employees. They don't have much in the way of advancement or benefits. And the fact it's all to make snacks, non-essential food, makes your death really feel pointless.The fact it's also reminding me of the trolls movie is annoying as well.
