So how about a thread combining the two?How many mass production mooks from your favorite mecha series would it take to defeat a kaiju? What kinds of mooks would be best for the task and what kinds of weapons would you give them?If you need a generic kaiju, assume a dinosaur-like creature with a breath weapon and rapid regeneration. Feel free to also discuss fighting specific kaiju. Might be funny to see how differently Zeon handles Godzilla compared to Gamera.
with goji, it really depends on which one. I think a few GMs or Gelgoogs would be able to take on heisei goji, given he already got fucked up by the super X.

That's not really something Zeon would regularly have in their arsenal. A Zaku's 120mm machine gun would be heavy firepower but not really worse than a battery of tanks shooting at Godzilla. Heat hawks could possibly do damage, but I don't think close combat with a pissed off atomic lizard would be a good idea. Assuming Heisei as baseline:>Godzilla would be around 100m tall>Most UC mobile suits are around 18m tall>Zakus would stand around Godzilla's knees or shins>OYW weaponry isn't really much of an upgrade over Heisei JSDF in terms of firepower>Beam weapons *might* be comparable to beam weapons used by heisei kaiju which Goji frequently tanks>Zeon would need detailed anatomical knowledge of Goji to hit the secondary brainYou'd need about thirty mobile suits to maybe have a draw with Godzilla

>>22937297This. Brute forcing Goji has never worked. You need a scientific solution, like the Oxygen Destroyer or Anti-Nuclear Bacteria. Super Mechagodzilla got the closest, but that still required knowledge of his secondary brain and armor specifically made to counter his atomic breath.

I mean it really depends on the Kaiju. Kaiju no. 8 and Pacific Rim monsters can be destroyed with conventional weaponry. But Godzilla monsters are nearly unstoppable to anything beliw a Kaiju, outside of specific versions. Hell if you Isolate Ultraman Kaiju Alone, you got Kaiju that can be brought down by decades old artillery juxtaposed next to Kaiju that threaten the solar system just by existing.
