>>22935248Sooooo...Blasting Again remake when? The siblings have a mom and dad to find.
>>22935248I'm genuinely kind of shocked that Sun didn't leap onto getting some SOPHIA kits out there. I could understand not wanting too many Metal Attackers all at once, but at the very least something like the Zero 1 SOPHIA III would be cool
>>22935405On one hand, fuck off, we’re not topping that ending. On the other, holy shit do I want to play Blaster Master ZX.
>>22936927This post is so polarizing in both ways it went neutral.
>Japs are so ass blasted that Blaster Master was more popular than Metafight ever was, they made Kane a super Mary Sue pilot who is just better than anyone because reasons>Even had Jason lose his final fight against him no matter whatI never have to buy salt again, thanks Japan.
>>22938776Huh?
>>22938776Nah, if anything, it's clear that there's a real love for the Blaster Master stuff. The idea that so many Japanese dudes liked that old Worlds of Power novelization is really great. I remember checking that out from my school's library as a kid.
I picked up all of these games on a recent sale and haven’t started them yet. Is each one significantly better than the last?
>>22938903Yes
>>22938903Original is still better than the modern slop.
>>22938965As someone who grew up with the original and is also a total autist about 1cc'ing retro games: no. Anyone who doesn't like the new trilogy is contrarian faggot with shit taste. The original is a good game and it has some nice hectic level design here and there but it's really dragged down by its length (its WAY TOO FUCKING LONG for a single sitting arcade-y style game, be prepared to pause it and go eat lunch or something past before or after the sewer stage or the game will burn you out hard), the shitty top down areas with some absolutely garbo boss designs (the frog sucks shit), and level / maze design in the late game being tedious. The Zero trilogy wins by default by actually making the top down sections fun and fast paced from the second game onward, adding Sophia boss fights, a cool ground pound energy mechanic from the second game onward, etc. the level design is also pretty diverse and while it doesn't get quite as hectic as the originals best moments, it's still extremely solid at worst. That and most of all it adds a genuinely likable cast and enjoyable little story backing it up that's made with love not only for the original but Sunsoft's library in general.
>>22938903double post also but sortaThe second game is a vast improvement over the first. It adds a fun counter system that makes the top down sections a lot more fun, a new energy system that's pretty clever, etc. and best of all improves the true end requirements. The first game is really brought down by absolutely AUTISTIC true final area requirements that force you to explore every nook and cranny of the world, while the second just needs you to do a few clearly marked side areas / quests. The third game...it's better than the first and it has a great story but I'm not sure if the gameplay tops the second one. It's got some great stuff in it, but I think the maze-like world design gets a little *too* much, I was feeling a bit exhausted by the end game. It's still good though.
Third game has great bosses but the level design is worse than the second's.
>>22938776This post is utter bullshit.Definitively shows you didn't play the game.
>>22939629>Solos every pilot when you play as him in 3 and barely breaks a sweat>Even when you beat him if you choose to play as Jason, Jason says he can barely keep up despite him being in a state art of machine and Kane is in a relic. >Kane is barely winded at the end>Not a Mary Sue
>>229396731. You totally don't know what a Mary Sue is.2. It's fucking told that Kane is a fucking brutally experienced pilot. Unlike Jason and anyone else he was in this for 10 YEARS straight.TEN. FUCKING. YEARS.This means he has a lot of experience and had enough to polish his skills. Meanwhile all the other pilots are rookies compared to him due to the fact that they got their Metal Attackers quite recently. So you don't fucking know what a Mary Sue is.
>>22939695Experience only goes so far.
>>22939701Experience and skill. And in those 10 years he polished it enough to the point that he can mop the floor with mutants and other Metal Attackers.
The only thing people care about with this series now is watermelon tits. They don't even talk about this game in the general supposedly dedicated to it on /vg/
>>22939695>>22939717He's also backed by his planets actual military, in terms of both training and hardware.Kane is the last character I'd call a mary sue. I'm not sure if I'd say he's "flawed", but he's conflicted about the whole situation and generally not treated as if he's wholly in the right while still being a good guy.
>>22940448>I'm not sure if I'd say he's "flawed"Let's say he's the shoot first, ask questions later (if ever) when it comes to anything that would endanger his homeworld. And that can prove kind of a pain in the ass.
>>22935248Cool design.
>>22936927I doubt that they would ruin the ending.
I like the plant girl who can grow huge melon tits when you water her.
Think Blaster Master would work in SRW?
>>22957886SRW X had Nadia, and its primary unit was a tank, but at the same time they also had a battleship so it's not impossible.
>>22957886Yes but it doesn't have an anime.
