For me, it’s the Penelope. I used to think it was an ugly robochicken like most people, but after watching Hathaway, I grew to really like it.The movie did a fantastic job at showcasing its speed, power, and menacing presence. The first fight against the Messer really captured that, making it feel almost like an unstoppable mysterious, supersonic alien threat. Plus the realistic dogfights in the film made it look far cooler than I had originally thought.

>>22937404Wait what? Penelope was in the movie? I couldn't see what was happening so maybe I missed it.
>Ez8Thought it was too bulky at first. Upon rewatches I started liking it more. Now I have to use it whenever I play Lost War Chronicles.>GinnSEED was my second Gundam show, so I thought the Ginn was an ugly Leo. Ended up really liking it by the time SEED Destiny ended.>CGUEDidn't like it till I saw the CGUE Assault Shields years later.
>>22937404The Lfrith Thorn, aka the midget. It's the weakest entry in WfM's lineup and I really hated this guy at first, and while the source material didn't do anything to endear me to it, I've come to appreciate it for being a bit goofy.Another suit that comes to mind is the Z'Gok. I'm still not the biggest fan of it, but some variants like the Z'Gok-E and how quickly they can become menaces on the screen have helped to dull my vitriol.
>>22937404Co and Penelope for sure. Also Katoki stuff in general
>>22937506Co?
>>22937404Do the armor get removed in the novel?
>>22937561Yes, in part 3, but it's still called the "Penelope" even without the armor. "Odysseus" Gundam was a later addition.
>>22937502Eww
>>22937404Menacing presence? You can hardly see it. It's about as menacing as a cabinet in a dark room
>>22937561No
>>22937404Gelgoog. I thought it looked clumsy at first but learning its development history and battlefield record won me over. The fact that it can keep up with Zeta and post-Zeta era machines is a testament to how scary this thing is.
>>22937404Penelope's SFX are attractive as hell, and the sexy light show it does in the armpits is great. Also when I played Maxiboost 2 Penelope let me cheese 90% of the story mode since it was so easy to spam with.>The first fight against the Messer really captured that, making it feel almost like an unstoppable mysterious, supersonic alien threatI love grunt pov versus Gundams because no matter the era they're just so outclassed it's ridiculous.
>>22937404Doven is still cooler but I learned to love this after noticing the Geara Doga parts
>>22937404All the weird aquatic Zeek MS
>>22937404I liked the Penelope in the movie because when it's flying around it reminds me of an old rubber suit kaiju being yanked through the sky on a cable.
>>22939512>I thought it looked clumsy at first but learning its development history and battlefield record won me overMy first exposure to MSG as a kid was the PS2 Federation vs Zeon game. It forever ingrained Gelgoogs as a super suit to because it's just such a universal power house. The shield on the back has always looked cool to me, too. It's something that's not really done anywhere else in gundam, rarely see the shields anywhere but the arms.
The Freedom. I thought it was ugly and overdesigned with a weird backpack, but in the anime it is pure cool.
>>22937561The armor removal was a gimmick Bandai added leading up to the release of Katoki's FIX figuration toys years after the novel. The Penelope is mentioned to be a flight unit but it's never separated from the Penelope in the story.
The Atlas. I thought those big thruster ski things were silly and cumbersome at first, but seeing them in actual motion made them look much more versatile. That and you can't go wrong with a fuckhuge railgun.
>>22937404>robochickenDragon. Xi vs Penelope is a knight fighting a dragon. Hathaway wins through misdirection, it's a victory of intelligence and tactics over beastly power. But yeah, Hathaway has amazing dogfights.
>>22940337>Hathaway has amazing dogfightsWhere? I couldn't fucking see any
>>22940919>This nigga don't have tapetum lucidum
