ITT obscure /m/ games
>>
>>22942453
If that devilman game is the one I’m thinking of, there’s a bonus mode where you get to play as the 1972 anime version of the character, the intro is even changed to being a recreation of the original op and even had the voice cast reprise their roles
>>
>>22942453
PS1 had the most soulful box art
>>
So obscure just means untranslated?
>>
>>22942453
Whats the one with L-Gaim called?
>>
>>22942609
Real Robot Battle Line.

I have anon, I'm not sorry you were born yesterday.
>>
>>22942860
The fact that I wasn't born yesterday is why I'm calling you out.
>>
>>22942862
I'm sure you were also posting here in 2006.
>>
>>22942453
There was also that Mazinsaga game.
>>
>>22942453
Imagine if we had some dedicated translation groups like those for JRPGs
>>
>>22942878
Imagine if you could translate. You ever think about that?
>>
>>22942870
the Genesis one?
>>
>>22942453
How about that FPS game for SNES with Gundam, Daitarn 3, Zambot 3, L-Gaim, and Xabungle?
>>
>>22942867
Didn't say I was. Said you weren't playing those games.
>>
How well known are the Sunrise games?

yeah, pretty sure that was the only Genesis game Mazinger had (or dynamic in general)
one of those "has some good ideas but kinda shit in practice" games, like the giant boss fights
>>
>>22943397
Something similar was also done with Devilman. A pixel adventure where you could play as Miki and Dosu Roku too. A little change here and there, but still very close to the source material aside from the ending. I remember you could change size too when in Devilman-mode.
>>
>>22942925
It might be hard to believe, but videogame consoles and imports existed in the 90s.
>>
>>22943758
NTA, but do you have any consoles from before the 2000s? And do you have any /m/ related games on those consoles? Just curious.

I keep fucking forgetting the title of that one mecha beat-em-up on saturn with Masamune Shirow's designs.
It looks and feels like appleseed game, but mechs don't have extra arms.

Amazing. And I'm sure you've beaten them all too. I remember there was some confusion with the Devilman game when the first transformation happens. When you're getting pulled by the testicle monster and have to just mash every button because the console and in-game commands were weirdly written. Any trouble with that?
>>
>>22944371
>testicle monster
How horrifying, lmao. I meant "tentacle monster".
>>
>>22944371
>And I'm sure you've beaten them all too.
Of course, they're a good two decades old.

>When you're getting pulled by the testicle monster and have to just mash every button because the console and in-game commands were weirdly written.
That's about right.
>>
>>22944377
Yeah, I had no doubts, just that some of those games are really difficult. Physical games are relics. This stuff is like alien-tech to me. I'm more of an Xbox 360 kind of guy. The closest I ever got to "Mecha" was Real Steel and that was just the demo.
>>
Wasn't there some Monopoly game on the Famicom that had a bunch of 70s Super Robots that got translated like a year or two ago?

Gundam Version 2.0 might be the hardest out of all of them, just insane difficulty creeps even on Normal. Target in Sight on the PS3 is the "latest" mecha game I've played, just got no real interest in that generation and beyond.

>>22944386
You might be thinking of Shuffle Fight.
>>
>>
>>22944389
Yeah. That's the one.
