And every other scene is this nonsense showing off her body. Why is this show so focused on this garbage instead of the actually interesting mech/angel stuff and the politics behind the scenes? I'm really trying with this show because I've heard such good things, but it's getting very hard.

What's the explanation for why EoE is so off compared to the TV series? There's no way what Shinji is going through internally at the of episodes 25/26 (Congratulations) matches the Shinji we see at the end choking Asuka.
