Thank you whoever told me to watch Dynaman. Holy fucking shit Dynaman has so many fucking explosions holy shit Injust saw episode 1 and 2 and this is amazing already. Its like a nonstop action fever dream. You have no idea how much I love sentai fighting near rocky cliffsides because it reminds me of growing up next to the ocean. Pinks rose sword and Blue's diving board thing are some of my favourite sentai weapons now. And no one told me it had a ninja and a cowboy. I love sentai boomerang users too and yellow just hits thing with spikey balls instead of spinning them. 10/10 not sire if delirious from sleep deprivation but that can't be it because Dynaman is fucking amazing so far.

How watchable is JAKQ?I’ve been wanting to give a Showa Sentai series a watch and it seemed like the easiest to do at only 35 episodes. I’m not averse to Showa era stuff (my favorite Godzilla era is Showa, I’ve watched a lot of Showa Ultraman and seen several episodes of the original of Kamen Rider), but Sentai is probably the Toku show I have the smallest tolerance of for bad quality.

The members of JAKQ are completely rewritten as different characters by the end and not for the better either. Especially Clover King and Heart Queen. Joker is forced off the show and the hamster becomes piss jokes.

The first 8 or so episodes are "gritty" in so far as there's no overt comic relief or silliness for silliness' sake, and in addition to the monster of the week there's also always a tragedy of the week. The weakest part imo, though there are a couple of good episodes. After episode 8-9 things lighten up just a little bit and become (imo) more exciting. You can easily tell when this part starts in earnest because Heart Queen stops wearing a wig. From this point up to where Big One is introduced, various things are gradually introduced (female agents like Goranger, one of the main crew becomes more comical, the pet hamster suddenly starts talking) and the fight choreography slowly improves and becomes more dynamic compared to the early parts, but peaks around the middle and starts to become goofier and more formulaic (get used to seeing reversed footage of guys flipping!) Once Big One is introduced the show's transformation is basically complete. Not content with making Clover King into comic relief, they introduce a (pretty annoying) dedicated comic relief support character, and Big One has a fair amount of comedy bits too. It's a proper goofy show from here. As they say, it becomes The Big One Show. None of the JAKQ characters are interesting in the slightest even by this point, so he kind of can't help but steal the show. Personally, I liked his antics. One thing I particularly liked is that due to the extremely restrictive nature of how they transform into JAKQ, there's a high amount of out-of-suit fighting. Also the two episodes that were just "LOOK! SUPERCARS!" were fun as a fan of classic supercars. One of the insert songs is also really great.If any of this sounds intolerable to you, I'd consider watching Denziman instead if you want the early Sentai experience

First it was Twokaizer in the body swap episode, then Twokaizer again with Gokai Cellular, then as different character almost made us thought she will be the second Boon Pink. Twokai Flint forever stuck in the stageshow jail and the suit is partially reusing parts from Twokaizer anyway.
