>>23000305/our/ Winter Queen>>22999941>In short, you don't know the lore at all and are writing out of thin air, right?I mean, its not THAT easy to transport that shit without logistical issues, added with the mass movement of troops, civilians and the rest of stuff...>In TE, the Soviet Union had enough nukes to use as a "trump card" against the EvenSK hive and still had a reserve against other hives for the future.> (In ML, judging by everything, they do use nuclear weapons against BETA on a regular basis, at least those who have them) >https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapon_design>there are "Clean bombs">most of the modern bombs can be tuned the type of explosion>"The public records for devices that produced the highest proportion of their yield via fusion reactions are the peaceful nuclear explosions of the 1970s. >>22999941>Maybe you'll believe the Yankees? They made the Raptor, with future interhuman conflicts in mind, a stealth robot, not an airplane. Because you need boots on the ground (and underground) to "secure" the "Ayy lmao juice".Kouki is a retard in that aspect , trying to forcefully substitute something ,ignoring the advantages of jet plane, and the limitations of speed and range of TSFs; instead of use both IN COMBINATION.>Apparently, the TSFs are worth their money Define "worth" .The US Congress fund their armed forces like giving candy. Look IRL WW2 or the Cold War, Until the 80s...>and more than effective.TSFs "weapons dynamics" (for a lack of better wording) behaves like WW2 fighters, where speed and interception lines are the "hot stuff". Maybe the can "out-turn" a jet fighter, but try that against a good missile. in TE , the "Party Hard International Improvised Gathering" admits that F-16 TSFs in autonomous mode with missiles are a serious challenge, and the power of plot armor impedes the worst case scenario.
>>23000549no because they sold it as some retarded fomo preorder shit which prevents them from selling it again without being suedYou can still install the dlc on the 20th edition version if you have the files, but it will make the game unstable of modern operation systems because it replaces files that were modified for stability.

And this guy, very similar to Yuya Bridges, arrived as part of the "Zhar" battalion redeployed by the Russians to Yokohama through the UN to strengthen the base. >>22997513Apparently one of the rules of the ML universe is that brown girls are SUPER HOT. In general, I would like to see the opinion of a representative of a monarchical state other than Japan about the events of ML...>>22995230This Japanese military man looks like a typical villainous character. Again, a "nationalist" - given the strange attitude of Kouki and Co. to Sagiri and his People - I hope they don't screw him over. Seriously, I hope that after Iwaya jerking off to the Yankees in TE, there will finally be a high-ranking character who has a negative attitude towards the US through the prism of Japanese interests.>>22995228Well, regarding the Vietnamese officer, the first impression is that he's a classic plot slacker who dilutes the seriousness of what's happening with his clowning (like Matsukaze in TDA) - sorry Vietnamese if I offended you.>>22993848Sagiri is kind of cool.In one timeline, he managed to achieve such authority in the IJA that he was able to start a rebellion and thoroughly shake up Japanese politics, and in the process, he also killed Walken (and I don't give a shit if someone starts screaming "That was unfair!").In another, he again managed to lead the coup forces, but lost, but then he and his people were able to join the French Foreign Legion and earn the trust of one of the founders of the Sixth Republic. He fought Walken on equal terms and left unpunished after the "victory" of the Japanese-Americans.If Sagiri appears in Tactics, even as a cameo, it will be funny.Walken is too boring a character, a kind of parody-unlucky Steve Rogers...
>>23000052Thank you.So, what do you think about the presence of the Japanese mercenaries in Thailand in 1995 of the TSF of the Japanese Imperial Guard, and with modifications and components, presumably belonging to the Takemikazuchi, which has not yet entered the prototype stage?
>>23000957>>23000052It is assumed that these "mercenaries" work for the imperial special services and conduct operations to support Japan's allied countries in Southeast Asia, as well as test new imperial TSF technologies in combat conditions?

>>23000047I’ve been thinking about this too, particularly in light of tororo’s essay in support of Muv-Luv Tactics, in which he says VNs are too expensive to produce and not popular enough anymore to make back their investment.Let me ask the group here a question: when was the last time âge debuted a story in visual novel form? You’d figure Schwarzesmarken from 2016, right? Wrong. The VN came third, after the light novels and the anime. OK, then, Total Eclipse? Wrong again; also based on light novels, and short stories in the Tech Gian “TSF in Action” series before that.According to the wiki’s Games page, the correct answer is actually the fan club-only Kimi ga Nozomu Muv-Luv in 2017. But prior to that, the most recent VN-first story is Haruko Maniax from 2010.So, tororo’s protests notwithstanding, âge has already moved away from visual novels. In fact, they basically did so 15 years ago. And what have they done with the time since then?3 failed gacha games (4 if you count Immortals and Dimensions separately)1 failed action game3 anime with varying (and diminishing) levels of critical and commercial success (only TE sold more than 3,000 per disc in Japan).4 issues of a magazine with an extremely irregular publication schedule7 successful VN localizations / Steam ports (ML, MLA, PM, PF, TDA, TE, KGNE)And… two pretty good light novel series: Total Eclipse and Schwarzesmarken. And personally, as someone who got into the franchise for the bold, opinionated, and uncompromising storytelling, they’re basically the only interesting thing that âge has done in that time. So, artistically at least, I’d be much more interested in a Muv-Luv franchise that committed more to LNs and/or manga. I’ll close with this: someone said at some point that Yoshimune-sensei once said on his stream that if âge ever closed up shop, he’d just start writing Muv-Luv fanfic for his own franchise.
>>23001265>7 successful VN localizations / Steam ports (ML, MLA, PM, PF, TDA, TE, KGNE)What is the metric of success here?
>>23001265TE reached 4k pts, SM reached 3.5k. The most recent ML anime was around 1.5k.TE's LN was in hiatus for years, and the VN actually finished the story. SM did better, with the first LN debuting in 2011, and the final one finishing in 2015. It's prequel story Bernhard im Schatten was abruptly dropped after several releases.Historically, Muv Luv does not fair well with LNs, only having one successful run. Just wanted to add my 2 cents as some of the ideas were only half true.
>>23001127Any specific news about the plot and character? Any new illustrations?
>>23001314Kouki just jerked off the gyaru ninja you already saw over and over while talking about how good the devs are (even though they already fucked up Mikhail)Said they made the new timeline to be like Gundam AUs compared to Gundam UC, specifically mentioned Gundam seed.Showed concept art of Susanoo being in the game for clap factor, TSFs in fucking space next to the space elevator. For some reason Kouki thinks SRPGs can't have as much text as visual novels so they hired the guy that fucked up the MLA anime script to condense what he writes. Final boss will be yet another new laser class (Kouki showed mafia kajita concept art that the stream didn't get to see, Mafia said it "looks like balls, as usual." Kouki then said its the final boss.Kouki brought up how it doesn't actually matter if the kickstarter fails or the game is missing certain TSFs or features, because the game can always be expanded through additional dlc or "extra crowdfunding".Kouki's writing for the game isn't even finished yet, but the submission deadline is before THIS year ends.

>>23001265>VNs are too expensive to produceim wondering what are the most money burning stuff in a VN...Hot take: with AI, some heavy stuff can be lessened with the right tools...>and not popular enoughwell, its golden era (Early PS1 to mid 2000s) passed away, but like i said before, AI tools will make "reflourish" the VN scene, if well done.Muv-Luv Needs a TV-series. with 30 to 45 minutes per episode. Its the only thing that does not have, media-related. (and movies, but that is a whole league apart)Animes, with a shorter runtime (25 minutes) does not let the "heavy" plot, dialogs and thoughts to show the depth or pacing that VNs allows. Also, ML does not fit by the typical "3-episode arcs" seen on animes today...>So, artistically at least, I’d be much more interested in a Muv-Luv franchise that committed more to LNs and/or manga. While this is something that can be good, the mecha combat scenes does not translate well, IMHO
>>23000052Never liked Sumika before! But now I see Sumika needs correction!!!
>>23001599it's not even a joke. the te anime had nudity and it exceeded expectations even though it was full of QUALITY. sm dropped nudity and it underperformed. tda was the last game they made with suit nipples and it was the last thing that was well received. the ps2 all ages port era was a bubble and almost every developer that chased after it is dead now.
>>23001949the funny thing about the TE anime is that even though it sold well by pretty much every metric, when they had a wrap up party for it Kouki producers or some shit talked about how they expected the "long awaited muv luv anime" to sell more loud enough for Kouki and a few voice actors to hear it. Then the voice actors tried to console Kouki telling him it's okay like in some fucking comedy sketch.

>>23000582>its not THAT easy to transport that shit without logistical issuesPerhaps, but the seizure of the USSR territory by the BETA hordes took place over a couple of decades and nuclear weapons were still an important factor in the survival of the Soviet Union. So the Russians had both the time and desire to relocate their nuclear forces as a "last resort" to maintain sovereignty even in the event of a complete loss of all their territory - as of 2001, Red Russia still controls part of its Asian possessions.I would venture to suggest that Communist China was not absorbed by Kuomintang Taiwan precisely because the Beijingers had nuclear warheads. As for the independence of East Germany - it is unclear how it was provided, since Berlin did not have its own nuclear weapons.>Canada (or any other site blessed by the power of the atom) could be WAY less radiated than imaginedMaybe the Yankees dropped their old warheads on Canada? Or were there just TOO MANY of them? Either way, the western part of Canada is a radioactive wasteland - TE confirms this, and TDA emphasizes that Sacrabosko was a turning point in the relations between Ottawa and Washington towards deterioration.Basically, if you agree that Koki and Co. wrote complete nonsense about the Canadian radio desert, then maybe you will also agree that he wrote nonsense about the Soviet Union with troops of national minorities and polar warlords + vivisection of espers?

In theory, exchanging a bunch of traditional equipment for one robot can be justified.>orcefully substitute something ,ignoring the advantages of jet planeFighter technology in the ML world was forgotten for almost 30 years and, in fact, the role of aircraft was replaced by spacecraft of the "shuttle" type (earth-space-earth). Does it make sense to reinvent atmospheric fighters if robots and spaceplanes cope well?>The US Congress fund their armed forces like giving candySo, is it economically "justifiable"? That's all it takes.> F-16 TSFs in autonomous mode with missiles are a serious challengePossibly, but according to Exogularity, the TSF received a nice upgrade in firearms in the form of railguns and beam cannons.
>>23003761>with 24 episodes, there was a margin to make an improvement?>>23001333>they hired the guy that fucked up the MLA anime script to condense what he writesGuys, can someone explain to me properly "What's wrong with the anime?", besides the lack of a second season? And no, a phrase like "VN was better! They cut out a lot!" not an option, because I read "Alternative" (by the way, the manga is clearly better than VN) and it did not cause any worship in me... Maybe because I am not a necrophiliac?Anime is an ADAPTATION and, whether you like it or not, it has time and volume limitations. The way the anime Alternative coped with transferring KEY elements of the plot and action to the screen is very worthy. TSF and fights with their part are just a sight to behold.Different censorship of suites and the lack of backstory for all characters in parallel worlds for beginners, for example, in my opinion are not some kind of overly critical shortcomings (I don't give a shit about the hodgepodge of Kiminozo and other games, and in anime they are quite self-sufficient). So what the hell?
>>23003641>AI could not be trusted to write dialogue with the actual Open AI version, of fucking course. That shit got lobotomized to hell and back. >>23003800I seriously doubt that creating 100ish static images is somehow more labor intensive than making a full game. If you have to cost cut making a few dozen images then you need to reassess your entire organization and game plan
>>23003789>besides the lack of a second season? It got a "second" season. (MLA went 12 in 2021 + 12 episodes in 2022)my main complaint it is that, you need to adapt AT LEAST Unlimited (with "Extra" flashbacks that our protagonist or the story can explain)Like the "new audiences" will be like our protagonist: not knowing SHIT about this world.>But it will appear as an "sci-fi >ISEKAI<!"i know its seen as a bad word, but with the "sci-fi" adds, it will shine against the rest of that season, lol. While you dont like the phrase "they cut a lot", certainly, they didn't. instead, the narrative sequences advances TOO fast (even in the VN happens, the main timeframe in both MLU and MLA happens in 3 MONTHS, for fucks sake), you can't even stop to think on something about.>Anime is an ADAPTATION and, whether you like it or not, it has time and volume limitations. And that's why a:-Mecha (3D complex drawing sequences)-Technically a Harem (+ runtime in both)-Sci-fi heavy plot (+ runtime in MLA)-Geo-political thriller (+ runtime in MLA)-main source is a Visual Novel (which is considered "long" by VNDB standards)when you add up, its INSANE trying to adapt something THAT HUGE and complex, and cutting without consideration the INTEGRITY overall. It's trying to adapt "The Lord of the Rings", starting from "Return of the King".Hot take 2.0: THE 12/5 INCIDENT had to be A MOVIE. Why? because technically, i does not affect the main plot. it was a political motivated coup, and indirectly affects the UN...>The way the anime Alternative coped with transferring KEY elements of the plot and action to the screen is very worthytrying to "lightweight" the plot, it does the same for the "impactful" scenes. and that's not good.In retrospective, Muv-Luv Unlimited and Alternative HAD to be adapted when 52 or 36 episodes was the norm. at 2009 at max.TL:DR= Adapt Unlimited (and extra source, like the prequel Marimo's stories), and THEN, Alternative.1/2
>>23003789>Different censorship of suitesit was for 3 reasons:1- the main source it an "eroge"( rated +18) , But still, TE showed nudes , soooo....2- simplifying the mouth movements3- probably to "refresh" the designsstill, lazy reasons, if you ask me.>and the lack of backstory for all characters in parallel worlds for beginners, for example, in my opinion are not some kind of overly critical shortcomings (I don't give a shit about the hodgepodge of Kiminozo and other games, and in anime they are quite self-sufficient). who complain on that aspect?2/2
>>23003774i wrote a long post, but the last phrase sums it up...>Possibly, but according to Exogularity, the TSF received a nice upgrade in firearms in the form of railguns and beam cannons. So, Muv-Luv goes full Mechwarrior, huh?Beam technology allows to counter-measure missiles in WVR... that is a game-changer on the battlefield. and powerful rail guns can hit well BVR...Still, "Destroyers" does not have weapons, so they can't do Interception per se.>>23003759>Maybe the Yankees dropped their old warheads on Canada? Or were there just TOO MANY of them?the first one seems to be. but most of those firecrackers were phased out by early 60s...there is 2 "reasonings" behind mass nuking:1-they went "overkill" for no reason2-they went "OVERKILL" for an "obscure" reason: BETA goes "underground", and they dont know how FAST they spread below there, so they cratered, even the surroundings >pic relatedanother question is how fast you can "redirect" an old ICBM. if my memory is not fading, every missile have fixed path in its systems. The most probable thing was that the Air Force would send some planes and helicopters to check in, and once confirmed, the bombers (B-52 or B-58) could drop their ordnance at safe distance , even with the presence (or not) of Laser Class.
>>23003759>Basically, if you agree that Koki and Co. wrote complete nonsense about the Canadian radio desert, then maybe you will also agree that he wrote nonsense about the Soviet Union with troops of national minorities and polar warlords + vivisection of espers?I take his writings as an cynic over-exaggeration of IRL politics history, so , probably. even the most acid Cold-War era movies tend to show the superpowers as "in talk" with each other, even at the risk of inminent nuclear fire.Russians would prefer "Space Luxury Socialism™" than being slaves of the "capitalist pigs" in the Alaskan Goolag (an old Imperial Russian clay, pure salt in the wound).Sadly, Marx's fat ass is the weight that impedes the escape from this condemned place :'(

>>23005524If we leave your lousy jokes aside, there is no point in TE cocoons. These capsules for espers (with the obligatory fucking cutting off of arms and legs) did not provide any real enhancement of abilities or improvement of control of forces... Rather, on the contrary, they made the use of esper pilots too risky and chaotic."The best is the enemy of the good", in any case. Su-37/47 already had cockpit modules adapted for espers and the use of "Edit" and "Settings", while maintaining the secondary usefulness of pilots (Bychenova, as far as I remember, was able to easily cope with piloting the F-15 simply by "reading" it).In short, this damn device was needed only for the plot's tragic build-up and nothing more - the fucked-up Kouki and Co. manage to screw up even in small things.
>>23004337Like, self-repeating dialogues about duty and the personal are missing, as well as the endlessly dull philosophizing on the topic of saving humanity and human squabbles? This can't be called a big loss. However, if the studios stuff all this into the anime format, then who will give money for this crap - you?
>>23004034> his writings as an cynic over-exaggeration of IRL politics historyIt's unlikely, rather the point is that Kouki and Co. don't understand a damn thing about history and by writing the "alternate history" tag for MLA they've done complete crap.1) even if we take Regenerative into account, the surrender of the Japanese Empire to an ally on honorable terms without the total defeat of its forces is a fairy tale. Kouki and Co. just wanted the Kuril Islands and Sakhalin to remain with Japan.2) the nuclear bombing of Germany and the surrender of the 3rd Reich in 1944 means that the Soviet Union will actually have no satellite countries in Eastern Europe (there is no East Germany or Warsaw Pact = there can't be any Schwarzesmarken in principle), and what is written in Regenerative about the "transfer" of the eastern possessions of Great Germany in favor of Red Russia by one of the most prominent Nazis is some kind of drug addiction.3) Kouki and Co. delicately pass over in silence the primacy in space, but imply that the USSR had its own rather competitive space technologies and, it seems, played some role in the Lunar War. And if so, then Moscow should have either had its own developments or received through the UN data on prototypes of the TSF. ...But there is not a damn thing.>acid Cold-War era movies tendIf you don't take trash like "Rambo" or "Red Dawn", and look at "The Hunt for Red October" or "Firefox", for example, it turns out that the Soviets can do military technology and are quite professional in the military sphere (even if they change sides). The fact that Koki and Co. depicted instead of Russia, some kind of damn cross between Nazi Germany and Aperteid South Africa, incapable of normal development of advanced weapons systems, says a lot about the level of their "competence and impartiality".
>>23004034>"Space Luxury Socialism™"Frankly speaking, after the war with BETA as it is depicted in ML, the USSR simply could not preserve its state-ideological structure of the Russian Empire, which led to the "Brezhnev Stagnation" and "Gorbachev's Perestroika". After losing a significant part of the territory and population, Red Russia had to be thoroughly reformed into something much more effective, otherwise the state simply would not have survived. That functional mess of factional struggle, shown in TE, should have destroyed the Soviet Union long before the Kamchatka arc with its military-Soviet nonsense.
>>23003990>So, Muv-Luv goes full Mechwarrior, huh?The strange thing is that he didn't do it earlier. 30 years of development of combat robots aka TSF, but at the same time zero evolution of weapons at their level of technology? Nonsense of course.>the first one seems to be.It is also possible that Washington dropped the "old nuclear arsenal" on Canada in order to keep the new "clean" warheads intact - Cold War logic and all that. However, politically the US still screwed up big time, because after that Canada began to closely cooperate with the EU and even allowed France to relocate to Quebec. In fact, the Monroe Doctrine failed.
>>23003899>It got a "second" season.Technically, it's more of a half-season, since MLA anime is clearly one of those 24-episode series that are divided into two mini-seasons of 12 episodes. >my main complaint it is that, you need to adapt AT LEAST UnlimitedWhy? Shirogane, contrary to expectations, after a bunch of reincarnations, behaves not like a veteran warrior, but like a hysterical, senile schoolboy who, despite his supposed experience, does not know or remember ANYTHING. So a niche adaptation of Unlimited would not clarify ANYTHING, but would raise a lot of questions in the style of "WTF?". That he fucked Meiya in Unlimited? Why should anyone outside the Meiya fan circle care?>the narrative sequences advances TOO fastMaybe the problem is that VN-only people are slow? The anime conveys everything necessary quite well and maintains the general pace of transmitting the necessary information - for any average viewer, as well as for those who simply do not worship VN, everything is quite adequate.I remember some time ago I saw a fan project of translation-voiceover of Alternative and on the arc with the introduction of a new OS and it was a nightmare. Takeru constantly, almost in every sentence, inserted phrases-comments about the coolness and necessity of the new AC, as well as the need for its distribution. By the end of watching this game episode, my ears hurt and my eyes were dazzled from the endless repetition of "the new OS is cool!" in different ways and I began to feel sick from the self-repetitions of the characters' reactions to this. The same arc in the anime is simply magnificent in terms of getting rid of informational and verbal garbage.
>>23003899>its INSANE trying to adapt something THAT HUGE and complex, and cutting without consideration the INTEGRITY overall. On the contrary, it is a forced necessity of editing, because no one will give money for a full screen adaptation of the entire ML. So guys, you should be glad that an anime adaptation, even a partial one, happened at all, otherwise they would have been sucking on the old VN.>>23003912>who complain on that aspect? Those who endlessly discuss their Kiminozo in the thread?
>>23003899>Hot take 2.0: THE 12/5 INCIDENT had to be A MOVIE.>Why? because technically, i does not affect the main plot. it was a political motivated coup, and indirectly affects the UN..In fact, the coup is a very significant event for Shirogane in terms of realizing that he is in a different, but real world. And that the Japanese Empire of this world has enough of its own problems, both external and internal. And that the girls from his squad, although they are UN soldiers, are FIRST OF ALL Japanese and that the events that change them affect all the people he knows. You can declare as much as you like about your loyalty to humanity and the primary need to fight BETA, and also swear at interpersonal conflicts, but in reality the most obvious questions arise - "Is loyalty to humanity worth loyalty to your country and love for your loved ones? Is it worth sacrificing your country to international interests in the name of the tortured friendship of the international community? Is it worth surviving a nation that has abandoned its own essence for the sake of foreign handouts?"Takeru, for the first time, essentially understands that in the world of BETA there is JAPAN, which is really IMPORTANT for the cadet squad and Marimo with Yuuhi and Mana. For once, his dumb head gets the idea about patriotism and the fatherland, which are not just a whim for his comrades. For him, the whole anti-BETA movement stops being a shitty game and becomes part of his service to the country and the world, and not to the ephemeral "humanity".The coup is a very important moment for all readers and viewers who think deeper than the nonsense about "meh anti-Americanism! Ugh".

Long-time lurker, I think I'm about halfway through Alternative for the first time, playing the original fan translation. Had the original fan version of Extra/Unlimited too. Already thinking about the re-read at some point and wondering whether I should switch to the steam version for that or just stick with what I have? I worry that new translations are over-localized and it's the new translator trying to re-write a story that doesn't belong to them like I've seen happen with other games/anime. Is this the case with Muv-Luv?
>>23010074trilogy translation is pretty decent, you have the occasional meme or over localized line, but the fan translation would have the occasional mistranslation or poorly worded line. You might as well just pirate the version that's on the 20th anniversary âge box on nyaa instead of getting it on steam though, because that version comes with the adult content pre-patched back in while actually buying it will force you into manually installing a delisted patch because the new owners hate porn. After the trilogy the translations get worse and worse as more and more of the original localization team is let go due to creative differences or cost cutting and by the time you get to the latest Kiminozo release you don't even have to blame the localizers anymore because the very company itself is censoring the Japanese script in advance
>>23010117truthnuke but I can already hear someone being deployed to defend the translations
>>23010117Danke
Pajeetbro actually looks coolI'm sure they'll have a Radhabinod cameo too, assuming this isn't him.
>>23010117The KimiNozo one is even worse because it's done by a Japanese ESL Translator who it seems has only a shaky grasp on English. The entire KimiNozo TL is in past tense, which reads really weird at points and there's a lot of jank that only comes with someone who is not familiar with a language trying to write in it regardless. I have no doubt if Tactics releases it'll have the same issues. I guess Age don't trust anyone outside Japan anymore which is why TL work has been moved in-house even if it drags the quality way down as a result.
>>23010074the fan tl is dogshit
>>23010074>>23010074>>23010482meh, the fan TL had a few parts that really sucked, but it was very serviceable and like usual very straight; the official TL rewords and rearranges things to be better english at slight expense to certain character tics. Overall it's very good though. All that to say, absolutely read the other version at least once, and that should probably go for anyone that's only read the official translation, too.

Anyone here played Project Mikhail? If yes, how is it?
>>23012818Poor, clunky and really only worth it if you want more Muv-Luv whatever the cost. Entirely wasted potential.
>>23012815It's all-in, so they've got that money regardless. But it is still a poor showing, especially after the KimiNozo crowdfunding hit its target and then some.
>>23012831I just don't get what the fucking plan is, do they know how many copies the game will need to sell to actually be a success and save muv luv? Of course they do, Mikhail failed so hard they shut off the servers. So they actually believe Tactics will be a successful game, capable of at least achieving medium indie game hit level sales? Are they completely delusional?
>>23011629https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9M2XOOu1qM4Interesting things in the broadcast:- the key point of deviation of the Tactics storyline from the MLA is the earlier discovery of promising supermaterials, which allowed the creation of the Space Elevator, which significantly simplified the logistics of exploring near space- the same materials allowed the development of many advanced systems for the TSF, in particular, trampolines a la Gundam Z for orbital divers. These pillows can withstand 5 (five) minutes of Laser-class irradiation- heavy combat platforms like Susanoo were decided to adapt for real combat operations in space by hanging them with missile launchers- the US does not control the Elevator, but it plays an important role in their plans, and therefore they participate in operations related to it through the UN- The main character, "Chisa", is more like Weeaboo, since she herself has not been to Japan for a long time and rather imitates the media characters of the samurai type idealized by her, rather than actually promoting Japanese culture. A kind of Takamura Yui in reverse.
>>23008544Fans were unable to financially support ANYTHING that does not in any way correspond to the format of the "ML trilogy", as proven by the recent crowdfunding of 63% for a new game and the earlier reaction of fanatics to a very good anime because, to put it bluntly, "the pilot suits are not the same".Of course, this does not cancel out the company's mistakes, but the reaction of fans of the franchise to any innovation or adaptation seems inadequate.>>23009005I agree, all the ideas of this crazy moron for TE are complete crap:- espers, the most valuable human resource of the USSR, are constantly under the influence of substances and brainwashing, not to mention self-mutilation and dubious effectiveness of experiments- national minorities as meat shields of the Soviet Union, which in itself is anti-historical, received heavy Su, which, given their disloyalty to the Russians, gives the Georgians and Kazakhs the opportunity to desert and attack the rear- the entire description of the policy of Red Russia is some kind of drug addict's nonsense of Kouki and Co., because such an ineffective state would have been destroyed long ago by BETA- the exchange of technologies in the Yukon within the framework of Prominence makes no sense if ALL Soviet developments are technologies stolen from the West. The same is true for the EU, whose developments of the 3rd generation TSF are the result of cooperation with the Japanese.- the whole point of the XFJ project is a story of nepotism, corruption and betrayal of several people- Japanese patriotism/nationalism is quite biased. The Empire does not want to cooperate with the Chinese and Russians, who are its neighbors and use a similar combat doctrine, but are ready to hand over their key defense project to the USA, which literally a couple of years ago betrayed and abandoned the Land of the Rising Sun... WTF?- and so on...
>>23012891tbf i wouldn't trust the chinks or russians either if i were in their place. and anyways, the sakaki government is in place at the time of TE and they gobble UN/American cock
>>23012818It's alright if you can get it for cheap.
I enjoy the TSF aesthetics but I feel like it's one of those instances when good designs are held back by being stuck in a failing or otherwise inadequate franchise. Shame, that tactics game seemed like it could've provided a breath of fresh air. What are the chances the developer goes through with it anyway?
>>23013251they'll release it 100%, this whole campaign was just them begging for money because Avex doesn't want to continue to fund them after endless failuresIt'll be a complete kusoge though, look at project Mikhail for the developers previous game.
i probably should have said that it will be made no matter what in the OP posts
I know the new KimiNozo version is universally lambasted for the cuts they've made, but has anyone actually been able to get the thing to work? Downloaded multiple versions/torrents (not going to waste my money but I'm EOP so need a translation really) but they all fail to actually launch the game. Has anyone got a workaround for this or is the game just fucking busted?
>>23013926if you can't find any comments about that shit being broken, it's probably just the new engine being incompatible with your operating system, software, or hardware. Enjoy.

>>23012818Like the other anon said. Waste of potential. Personally, I played it long enough to finish the main story and fucked around the endless mode (which was surprisingly fun for me) But honestly its janky and makes you wish it was done better because it really could have been refined
Why doesn't Avex shake up management? Isn't the whole point of being bought out is that you get the resources of the parent company, including access to more experienced management?
>>23014510Who fucking knows, man. Maybe they don't see much life in the IP so they let it rot with some retards or maybe everyone is just clueless and has no idea what to do with it.
>>23014510Actually the point of buying IP's is increasing your value while also making terrible management decisions that frighten shareholders into forcing a buy out from a second, even larger company. There is a fine line of maximizing profit from a buyout while also undermining the value to make it more tantalizing.

One guy shanking an alien while he takes a piss is equivalent to humanity losing a navy warship, and the aliens probably came because they want to live here. Even if they wall off a living space they need to compete as a nation for the next few centuries against humans who will leap ahead by studying their tech. That's why humanity lost the second we let BETA have the moon -because a low-gravity satellite is militarily much more important than earth itself, and the BETA population expands at an absurd rate. By the time of Alt4 man was the alien, and retaking a world full of BETA tech would transform everything humans do. I would say a 6th gen TSF would have a particle cannon and shielding, but apparently 7th gen was humanity post Alt4 so this is kinda funny -A TSF from an alternate universe where humanity did neither Alt4/5 and waited longer before counterattacking? What further development could be used against the unchanging BETA without G-element spam? I guess since mankind is lower on pilots than TSFs you'd see older models used as drones en mass, and the 6th gen would focus on survivability. Maybe it would have a big turret on the back to auto-lock on laser class and counterfire to save the craft. It would be a war where man was trying to hold back the BETA after running out of everything. The pilots would all be lolis.

>>23015136>eh, typical...If only. Kouki and Co. imply that pre-1941 Japanese history (except for the preservation of the Shogun and the organization of the Guard) is similar to IRL.Only that means that either the military also gained real power, or the government turned out to be extremely incompetent in expansion. In the first case, there would have been "our" Second World War" and occupation, in the second, the government would have been overthrown as a result of national discontent and a coup by the far-right/military/whoever for their "betrayal".In 1944, when Japan surrendered, the Empire still controlled many territories of China and Southeast Asia and the de facto surrender of these territories to the Allies in exchange for peace, and even under the condition of "reforms". For the propagandized population of the Land of the Rising Sun, this situation would look like capitulation... After the Russo-Japanese, after all the Japanese successes, the Portsmouth Peace Treaty caused mass protests in Japan because of its "injustice" and almost a riot occurred. In 44 ML it would have been even worse.By the way, according to Regenerative, Japanese agents were able to convince the US public that it was necessary to make peace with Japan after Midway and to start "fighting" the Red Menace (which at that moment was fighting the Nazis with all its might, if anything) by stopping Lend-Lease, etc.>that would be ultra-ironicHiroki Uchida, the author of Schwarzesmarken, is known for his WWII Eastern Front 'Historical Fiction' about good and heroic Germans fighting the evil red tide of Asiatic communists.https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%86%85%E7%94%B0%E5%BC%98%E6%A8%B9And this fairly well-known right-wing writer in Japan, who adores Nazi militarists, was commissioned to write a LN about East Germany in the ML world. Kouki and Co. are apparently too stupid to realize one simple fact - the Soviet Union had an all-Union army, united for all of its constituent Republics. As for "nationalism", it is more about "positive discrimination" of Russians in favor of national minorities - for starters, just google what nationality the leaders of the Soviet Union were.>NS Germany and South Africa had "decent" weapons programs. The 3rd Reich gave birth to the concept of "Wunderwaffe" as a synonym for extremely expensive and complex, but at the same time ineffective weapons. The opinion on many, even promising projects of Nazi Germany, is at least controversial, but in general they lost the technological race to the Allies.South Africa had good wheeled combat equipment, as did the African savannas, but in other respects... That is, according to rumors, they had a joint nuclear program with Israel, but in the end it turned out to be a dud.In addition, these regimes openly promoted racial superiority as the basis of their statehood, which was never the case in the USSR. Red Russia was frankly weak in electronics, but in terms of creating reliable and mass-produced, and most importantly cheap, own designs of weapons and combat equipment, the Soviet Union coped well.
