Upon rewatch, this is easily one of sunrise best shows.It takes a theme, life in a virtual world, and runs with it exploring all the possible implications it comes with it: data storage, corruption, existence, memories, etc. It's all well thought out and ends in a very satisfying way. I'd argue it's only real sin (heh), is that the animation is rather poor, and even then, the 3D models of the robots are decent make use of designs that would be harder to pull in 2D.If you haven't thought about this show in 18 years outside of SRW XO/DD, i highly encourage you to give it rewatch.https://youtu.be/SlB_g4ltv7A
Also, i came to like Shizuno a lot more this time. I think kaminagi was a better pair for Kyo 2.0, but i still think what happened to Shizuno was pretty unfair and tragic. But in a way, i suppose it's a mercy of sorts, kind of like D-Boy at the end of Tekkaman Blade (just nowhere near as autistic). Free from her past memories, ready move forward. I really like her.

I loved Zegapain. I wish the movie (the first one, not talking about the new one) had proper subs, instead of just the ultra-crabsticks it has
