Last time I checked Phantasy Star games are tangentially /m/ right?/v/ is too obsessed with politics and fapping to fanart, I just wanna discuss games where you can play as a robot.Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity in particular. It kinda bothers me that being a Cast has zero impact on the story, or even gameplay, but at least I look cool and it's fun to endlessly grind towards some imaginary goal, like I dunno even which it is, since you can reset any time and keep leveling past already absurdly high level cap.
Mecha enemies and bosses are also cool as fuck, a lot of them you don't even see in story mode. At least in EP1.I haven't touched EP2 yet.
It has some very cool environments as well. For an upscaled portable game I think it looks very good. I'm using texture upscale patch as well, but I dunno how much it changes actually.
And the best part that it's 100% offline, has no microtransactions, gacha bullshit or retroactive retarded game-ruining decisions like what happened to PSO2.Also from what I understand you can play PSP2i in coop on both emulator and real PSP as well, as long as you have somebody to play with.I have only NPCs, but I still love them, especially Curtz. He looks like Wanzer.
So yeah Phantasy Star thread go!
When PSO2 launched officially in english but before New Genesis, there used to be a active sorta general here with it's own Alliance, but nowadays I'm not sure, since NG probably fucked up things.
>>23045596>Vasque>CurtzMy negro...Kind of painful that PSO2 is one of the few games where you can play a cool robot + extensive customization, especially if you jumped on it really late like I did. PSP2i's underrated, although I beat the story then grinded a little and then got a bit bored a while back. Never tried the online.
>>23047612Reject online-only games, embrace offline with online coop ones. The beauty of PSO1 and PSP2i is that nobody can ruin them, not sega, not microsoft, not some twatter degenerate.Just download and play however you want. And you STILL can play multiplayer. PSO1 has private servers and you can set up your own server just to play with a buddy, and PSP2 has direct co-op.>>23047636I'm still fucking around in Episode 1.There are so many missions that I haven't even run yet.
