CaKing debut still takes the cake for me but it's definitely in the top end of the show so far. I was starting to worry about the Q2-Q3 slump, not that the past few were bad just standard fare, but bolstered up my faith for the show's long run. I think people are rushing to judgement too quickly. Shouma and Rakia have similar goals, but Rakia has made it very clear he doesn't care about humans, and is willing to take severe actions for revenge. It's not an alliance that's going to last long unless they can see eye to eye.

It's weird how we've yet to see the parents or family of the disappeared kid on screen. It's almost like they don't want to show the parent's misery because it's too harrowing for kids.

Good episode, and that fight scene was really cool but...
This show has a lot of kino ideas but they don't always stick the landing entirely. Rage9 trauma dumping his whole backstory to Shoma and them burying the hatchet feels rushed. You could have squeezed the backstory and both characters figuring out their identities for a couple more episodes, but it's all done in one go and feels weak. I guess we don't know for sure if he's redeeming himself yet, but his little bro being obviously killed by Glotta (who they fight next episode), and Vram turning evil soon should imply he will be Gavv's new buddy for the moment.
It's also pretty unsatisfying that all it takes for Vram to walk away is pointing out what everyone (including him) already knows: he's propagating Stomach Inc.'s power by doing their bidding. I thought he already knew that, but apparently, he needed to be told straight to his face. Though I guess Shoma reminding him of his little bro helped.
Some things seem like should influence his plan in other ways. Vram being labeled as another "Granute hunter" by the corporation he's working for should give him some red flags, as clearly, his double identity isn't working out for him to anyone outside of Nyelv, who's already shady. And trying to kill the two other riders, both of which could help him immensely with his revenge, feels odd. I would have loved to see him play both sides to his advantage instead of being so obsessed with killing the only people outside of him who are standing up against the corporation you hate.
