>>23064698I always felt that the people on Earth in Gundam X recovered too quickly from having dozens of nuclear-powered colonies dropped at once over the planet's surface. I wasn't expecting another Fallout but it always seemed weird to me. With that said, I'd love an AU show where a similar catastrophe happens on Earth and 70 or 120 years later we see humans surviving a hellscape of a planet with unforgiving weather, radiation being an issue, groups of people becoming ruthless just to survive and more.We would follow a group of people scavenging and putting together MS to sell and survive, so no super powerful machine that wins every battle single-handedly, and it would be more about world buildup, Dougram-tier teamwork and logistics, and knowing the scavengers' lives. Later on the group finds out about this "Eden" some mysterious sponsors are paying people to go explore but they never come back from, which is an overgrown forest in the Iberic Peninsula or somewhere else, eventually revealing that said catastrophe was made by a quasi religious group that controls all of the Space Colonies and kept radio silence with Earth. They want to turn Earth into a natural reserve with whatever new fauna and flora is coming out from accelerated growth from experimental processes, using cutting-edge MS technology to keep people away from that and other Edens as they expand rapidly until they have nowhere else to live. They eventually receive contracts from the religious group after proving themselves to them by surviving. One of them is recovering a stolen white Mobile Suit that is making a lot of noise on populated areas. Most of the show is them surviving and being morally grey in this world – no real good or bad sides, even though that could be expanded in sequels.
I want this animated. True Gundam Isekai is an untapped market.

The Republic could publicly denounce Char as a terrorist and come out looking like the salvation for humanity. That could give Char his out if he survives, because he didn't want to lead humanity anyway. If he gets a bounty he could flee to parts unknown, likely wearing sunglasses.
