What kit? You could literally buy a "Joint Strengthening Pen" and just apply a little bit and strengthen the joints. Alternatively it would be faster to recast the joints unless you have a printer and it's simple enough to 3d model.

I had real concerns over how the diorama would turn out because I tried 2 different wall fillers and neither cured hard like I expected, but I think once it's painted and flocked it will look uniform enough.
