I've listened to the opening at least a dozen times today. It's really grown on me.
>>23562519The wings still look really cheap to me
Hey morons play the right episode, the fuck are you doing
>>23562540Yeah the gimmick of it being a weapon is fun, but it's not the best looking prop in the world.
Calling it now, the bride actually wants her childhood friend to steal her away from her arranged marriage
>>23562536I hate it solely because it has the lyric "be the GOAT", I fucking hate modern slang so much.
>>23562551Yeah I really don't like that part either, it has such an awkward flow compared to the rest of that section of the song.
I fucking love the PSB they're so much fun
>>23562543Anon…
>>23562551>Next Year of the Goat>2027>7number theory is realz x eyez
>>23562561Me too, every scene they're in is fun.
>>23562561The detective might just be my favorite character
>>23562561I don't like Nasuka, it's like she's just there to kick Fujimi and little else.
>>23562561>>23562565>>23562566They bounce off of Baku pretty well, probably the highlights of the show when it comes to characters.>>23562572She's the straight man to Fujimi's antics, anon.
>>23562546The truth is much lamer than that.
>>23562561Same, also I finished my re-watch of Re:Cutie Honey, and Nasuka really reminds me of Natsuko
>>23562574Nah, her childhood friend being a red herring for a much more simple fear is pretty decent.
>>23562574I don't think it's that lame of a twist. It's not nearly as romantic, sure. But that's how things work out sometimes. The husband doesn't seem like an asshole either, so it'd be weird for that to be the case.
>>23562573Fujimi has actually gotten some stuff done for their Unit, Nasuka needs to justify her existence beyond just being there to roll her eyes and act bitchy.
>>23562574 The second Fujimi said my theory practically word for word I figured i was wrong.
>>23562583>The husband doesn't seem like an asshole eitherYeah, a little pushy for going to New York so soon after a marriage but I mean he seems to genuinely care for her.
>>23562572The way I see it, she's exactly on Fujimi's wavelength but she's too serious to admit it. I imagine the more time she spends with him she's gonna start getting a little more goofy.
>>23562573>She's the straight man to Fujimi's antics, anon. This man needs a tard wrangler, otherwise he'd be invading Baku's personal space trying to probe more info.
What are your compliments and complaints to Zeztz's fifth case?
>>23562583It's lame, they could've done something interesting with the groom or the friend instead without necessarily making it so that she loves the latter instead of the former, but no, she's just afraid of flying.
I'm impressed the actual cause of her Nightmare was something nobody predicted
Fujimi just walking up and talking to the childhood friend was a pretty good bit
>>23562561After this episode, absolutely yes. They steal the show whenever they're on screen. Drinking Zero's 'tea', moving in to it like it's their new office and the guy comforting the childhood friend when he didn't even know who he was were all top tier
>>23562592>otherwise he'd be invading Baku's personal space trying to probe more info. But that's exactly how they manage to make any progress with their investigations.
>>23562595Fujimi broke into Baku's house while he was asleep/10
So… what makes Nox and Nem immune to the eventual decay of the world?
>>23562598In hindsight it was foreshadowed by one door opening when she fell into the sky.
>>23562605It's so clear that all of that was just Baku dreaming. The fact they suddenly disappeared whenever Baku turns around is such a clear tell
>>23562605PSB moving out of a truck and into Baku's closet/10
>>23562609It's foreshadowed by the Nightmare being a flying bird.
>>23562572Her character would vastly improve if she dressed like this.
>>23562610He wasn't dreaming, that's why they're all together at the end. He also didn't have his cowlick.
>>23562519>>23562595It was a good idea for her nightmare to be something that wasn't so cliche, but I don't really think they gave it the best outcome either. Her having a fear of flights surely should be something she could have talked with her fiancé and family about, and also something they should know based on her past incident. It would have worked way better if her fear was leaving Japan after the marriage, maybe she doesn't want to leave her country and old friends behind. If the husband is willing to change plans last minute over a nightmare, then he's surely the type of man who you could talk to about your fear of heights with no issue beforehand. So the case was pretty dumb, and not a fan of the weird CGI action, but the jokes were funny and the plane surfing was cool. The humor being guided by normal people getting stuck in weird situations works way better than Takahashi's old shtick of annoying people screaming loudly.
I like that it wasn't as simple as "Oh she wants to be with the childhood friend."Plus that joke with Fujimi was 10/10As was the fact PSB keeps doing unnecessary combat rolls to enter into locations.
>>23562551I think it's lame too but it's not like I've ever listened to gookspeak songs for the lyrics anyway. I don't understand 95% of what they're saying most of the time, why should I start to care what the lyrics are now? It has a nice sounding melody and vocals so that's good enough for me.
>>23562595Writing was pretty good, I liked how everything wasn't as cut and dry. I would have preferred a bit less CGI fighting though, even if the CGI quality wasn't too awful.
mega/nyaa link?
Really don't like how the Code Closet is supposedly real. >>23562598No one would have predicted something as mundane as a fear of heights after a Policeman bombing police stations, however this was Baku's first real case. Nox spread the butterfly infection to all sorts of people, not everyone is gonna have a strong enough Nightmare.
This is like that plot twist in Kabuto where Tendou reveals that the worm was actually after people who dressed in white not brides specifically
Please be foreshadowing.
Nightmare Bible
>>23562647Those are the colors of the 4 base forms Zeztz has, right? (And Kuuga)
It seems the investigation format of Zeztz has found a comfy niche in the two parter format. Hope it sticks tge landing it's been a while since I've seen a two parter format show.
>>23562645dilate
>>23562587To be fair, we don't even get to see how much planning was put into it.>>23562597I think the fact that it wasn't some big love triangle is more true to the nature of dreams and the subconscious. It's like how in Fujimi's dream, he's still an active detective on the scene of these bombings. He wants to help people, but deep down inside he knows the government bureaucracy interferes with his work. The conscious desire to be married and the subconscious fear of heights were mixing together, obscuring the truth in her dreams.>>23562636I'm still not entirely convinced that this whole show isn't just Baku, Nox, and Nem being trapped in a super fucked up dream state.
>>23562650Yes.
>>23562653Cope and seethe.
>>23562650Yes it seems they tie to body, civilization, mind, and Reality. Also Nem and Nox seem to be the same kind of entity
>>23562657>>23562655How was Stream Civilization? Thats what he said Blue was, right?
>>23562595I really enjoyed the action scene, I love how Wing acts like a fighter jet while flying and the OST when he's on top of the plane was great. It was nice of the writers to not go for the cliche of her loving her childhood friend, although her actual problem didn't seem so severe to justify a nightmare, it literally only took one talk with her husband for it to be resolved, plus, her family should know that she would have a fear of heights considering she almost died because of a fall. The PSB are amazing and I hope that when more characters are added to the cast that they don't end up getting sidelined.
>>23562659I guess it affects the world AROUND Baku. But I'm not sure how that will be differentiated from Reality
>>23562661>although her actual problem didn't seem so severe to justify a nightmareThis is the problem I have with the twist. I think because they spent so much time setting up the red herring, we don't really get a satisfying explanation for her issues. And I'm also not a fan of the resolution being "lol just don't get on planes".
>>23562551isn't it past your bedtime, grandpa?
>>23562659Wind is a good source of energy?I don't know, the director probably just gave it air powers because he didn't know how to incorporate "streaming powers" into a fight.
>>23562636The series has already confirmed that dreams can affect reality, and seeing how Code is most likely the same type of being as Nox and Nem, he probably has greater control of the dream world to phisically alter the real one through it
>>23562667Better to do it when she's ready than to be forced to because of the Honeymoon. Not every fear related story needs to end with "And the underlying fear was removed overnight."
>>23562595Tetsuya and Nasuka need some range and they need it now. Both of them just being "oh, he has a giant secret base in his closet, seems legit" and just keeping on with their respective wide-eyed excitement and narrow-eyed cynicism felt so weird. The resolution to the "mystery" was annoying, the red herring of the childhood friend made little sense, if she was worried about falling why dream her childhood friend kidnapping her? "dream logic" doesn't justify bad writing.
>>23562679Her childhood friend save her after a nasty fall once, perhaps her subconscious wanted him to save her from a potential one again? Dream logic can be obtuse like that.
>>23562679Eh I can believe dream logic being the reason, dreams are just super random like that sometimes. Just last night I dreamt I was protecting a plate of waffles from a horde of squirrels falling out of a tree onto me.
>>23562654>I think the fact that it wasn't some big love triangle is more true to the nature of dreams and the subconsciousI didn't say it had to be an actual love triangle to be interesting. Just a concern or misunderstanding from any of the people involved regarding the marriage would've been interesting. Actually, I'm starting to see how the dream and secret agent aspects might limit what the victims of the week can do as well as their involvement in the weekly stories.
What are your debut impressions on Technolom Stream?
>>23562677>>23562679I really hate to suggest it, but maybe a 3-parter would have been better if they wanted to do it this way? Dedicate an episode to Ippei, establish the bride as the dreamer this week, then slowly slide the investigation away from the marriage and towards the fall. I agree that you can't just go "it's a dream I ain't gotta explain shit" when you're spending most of the show inside people's dreams. It's also why the husband gets 0 development; we only see him once in the real world.
>>23562623>I like that it wasn't as simple as "Oh she wants to be with the childhood friend."It was even more simple than that.
>>23562692I like the color scheme a lot and the powers are fun.
Maybe the twist could have handled better, but I really like that the Nightmares aren't all as straight forward as Fujimi's. It's not always going to be a subconcious desire that drives and it can be a fear they have manifesting in a bizarre way that works on dream logic. You could do a lot with a setup like that.
>>23562692I like the color blue.Baku missing 80% of his shots with his new gun wasn't great.Air surfing is rad and the kind of stuff I want to see in a series about dreams. There are very few Rider Shootings that are memorable. This wasn't one of them.Overall, not bad but Wing was cooler.
>>23562598>no it's lameShut the fuck up, it's a kids show ffs not primetime tv like breaking bad
>>23562721Go back to /krg/, faggot.
>>23562610Are you retarded?
>>23562726So if the theory about Nox being Nem's brother is true, does that mean his head was chopped off and that's why the Nightmare of Nem's parents seems to be focused on decapitation?
>>23562610sneedwatcher-kun...........
>>23562659Technolom as civilization would suggest we're talking human development and technology. Machinery = Robotics, Projection = Photography.Harnessing wind and manipulating it would be sort of like turbines or fans or, as in the episode, planes. It takes a more direct approach but it would link it to aerodynamics which have been studied throughout history.>>23562663The Paradigm Capsems are more based on abstract physical laws. The difference between something like Projection making a copy out of detailed holograms and Paradigm Wonder breaking physical laws by letting Zeztz change size but we'll need to see how exactly it's portrayed I think.
>>23562659>>23562746
>>23562679The dream logic isn't so far off, she doesn't want to fly, if she marries she has to fly, her friend saved her from her first fall, if he kidnaps her she doesn't have to fly. I could also see two other explanations for this, either: >Nox purposely altered parts of the dream to throw baku off resolving the case>The friend had a subconscious dream of kidnapping her and stopping the wedding and that converged with her dream on the dream world
>>23562655Every time I see the designs side to side just makes me wish that transform was the base form, the added armor on the legs and arms look way better, plus it makes his big-ass shoes not look so out of place
so the bumbling detectives are just going to move into his spacious closet and go in and out through his window every day?
>>23562861I hope that midway through the series, they just start bringing a ladder to make it easier rather than trying to enter through the front door.
Non Youtube Link?
>>23562896>>23562861they'll probably get their own door into the hideout or something like that
>>23562655I like how in the assist forms the colored lines that are on the base forms turn black, because that energy has been turned into things like Wing's wings.
>>23562572She's the Tsukkomi to Fujimi's Boke, they're a manzai duo.
>>23562640not everyone watch heisei let alone the early ones, sorry:(
>>23563017She's not funny nor charismatic enough to justify that being her whole character, she needs to actually do something, like Fujimi.
>>23562661>writersIt's takahashi himself.
>>23562519I really liked the twist, Japan doesn't need any more anti marriage messaging
>>23562647prediction of the plot. Nox and Nem are both members of an extradimensional alien race. They're not "real" people, only existing on the dream plane. Nem is somehow the catalyst for all shared dreams. They're not on earth at all. They're trapped in a terrarium of some kind, like Dark City, which is serving as a laboratory with all the humans inside of it as their test subjects. They're searching for someone like Baku who has the potential to believe his dreams into reality, as seen when he pulls his driver out of his dream. If they harness this ability, they'll find a way to break into the true plane of human existence. Zero is also a member of this alien race. This is a reach, but a clue could be in the name of the show, Z's, representing sleep sandwiched between the alien E.T.
>>23563060Nem's parents are the next episode's victims of the week.
>>23563060>They're not "real" people, only existing on the dream planeDebunked before the show even started.https://desuarchive.org/m/thread/23416233/#23416750
you guys will find anything to complain huh...
>>23563066That says she has a physical presence, which could be interpreted in several different ways. She's physically present in advertisements. She could be entirely artificial, like that AI actress they just created. Her physical presence could also very well just be some kind of computer controlling the simulation. As for Nem's parents. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that they brainwashed two humans into believing they were her parents again, like in Dark City.
>>23563068I want some of the shit you're having, delusional-kun.
>>23562749this doesn't answer our questions..
>>23562726>digimon if live action
>>23562595Good ep and glad they're finding ways to keep the cop hilarious. The flight stunts have been a lot of fun to watch but I worry they're running themselves into a Gatakiraba problem with all the big budget stunts so early into the show. I really liked that minor key reprise of Zetz's heroic theme for building tension when the climax started too.Writing-wise I dig that they showed that Nightmares don't necessarily exploit desire but rather deep insecurities. With Baku and Fujimi it was easy to conclude they operated on breaking metaphorical dreams but with this case it shows they're only routes and thus the cases won't be as clean cut as initially presented. The butterflies collecting beaten monsters makes me think that Nox is using them as a means and isn't actually out stir shit up for the sake of it. Also liked that they gave Baku brief moments of relief that he pulled it off without people getting hurt this time around. Really helps sell his good boy persona. On that note anyone else been picking up increasingly more Yumekui Merry vibes here? The imouto secretly being another Evol gaslighting Baku hints aside, Nemu seems to be shaping up into an alien existence that breached the threshold and isn't where she's meant to be. I'm expecting that by Q2 it'll get revealed that Baku was patient 0 of a dream incursion incident involving Nemu that led to him being so cursed and yet lucid in his dreams.
I don't know if the combat rolling was the director or just an ad-lib by the actors but I hope it sticks around
>>23563264Nah it's lame and it isn't funny
>>23563142https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM4raWqohIA
How long until Baku asks his police friends for a job to pay his bills?
Am I blind or is there no rip this week?
>>23563321No rip
>>23562519Batman Beyond Kamen Rider?
>>23562762The base form actually looks better once you understand the gimmick behind it>>23562983
>>23563017That's the problem.
>>23562572I don't know anon, every time she kicks him I have this feeling inside me>I want to be himI think most anons feel the same. Also, fun how that scene of her rolling on the ground after Fujimi in this episode only existed to have her feet and butt bounce on screen.Very based director.
>>23563514I'm surprised she doesn't question how the fuck there's a secret base behind the closet when Baku's house is literally just a normal sized house. If she doesn't dig deeper into this topic in future episodes then I would call it shitty writing.
>>23563213>The imouto secretly being another Evol gaslighting Baku hintsYou're retarded.>Nemu seems to be shaping up into an alien existenceI hope you don't mean literally extraterrestrial, because that's even more retarded.
>>23563461It doesn't because Transform still looks better than Impact. Impact is its own design, not all the Physicam form designs.
>>23563311What bills? His sister pays for everything and does all the chores.
>>23562595Solid episode again, the cops continue to be extremely entertaining, liked the twist about the bride's fear being about her honeymoon rather than marrying, and I'm still surprised that CGI looks mostly good, specially with this episode director that doesn't have that much experience with toku, every other director left for Q1 are usually great so this quarter is pretty much guaranteed to look visually great, hopefully they keep getting good directors past that. I also really the gimmick that they're using the dreams as proxy so that every two-parter feels like a different kind of action movie. My only fear is that I feel like it's too soon for the cops to find the Zeztz room, I'll miss them rolling on their van. Also wasn't Eprism supposed to be Divinity rather Mind? What does Mind has to do with healing powers?
>>23563692Power of the mind might give Baku more direct control over a shared dream, allowing him to heal people or damage from the dream that carries over to the real world.
Disappointed that zero didn't start making bike noises when she sat on him.
>>23563900I'm sure some deviantartist will get what you need before too long
Last week's nichiasa had the Precures peeking through a woman's window, this week's had two cops break into Kamen Rider's apartment, next week I'm expecting Hoeru and gang to squat in some guys place unnoticed for a bit at this rate.>>23562595I still like the cops and the visuals but this was probably the first episode of the series I didn't like. The twist being that the woman was afraid of heights is just unsatisfying, its not terrible on principle I think there's a way to make it entertaining, even still working with the childhood friend red-herring. But as it's done, I appreciate it for not being the cliche but I can't find it satisfying at all, the CGI action was also a miss even if the concept of it was cool. I'm not sure if I enjoy the cops just being chill with Baku's massive spy room thing but at the same time whatever reason if they went into it would be hackneyed anyway so just skipping it is fine.
>>23563994Well... >>23561012
>>23563900So is Zero just going to refuse to talk to anybody but Baku? It's really weird how on board with them getting involved with Zeztz but then refuses to say a word, even while they help themselves to his private reserve.
>>23564098I'm telling you guys, Zero and CODE aren't real. They're subconscious manifestations of Baku's that Nox created to guide him to unlocking the 4 Capsem needed.
>>23564106Debunked already.>>23557892
>>23562608Nem is the missing chunk of the moon, who's larping as a real girl. Nox is the literal white of the moon, and he's using nightmares to try to corral Nem back up into the sky.Baku is the black of the moon, and him and Nox being gone is why the moon is red.
>>23564289Yanaka said the SFX team just came up with the red waning moon as an easy way of indicating which scenes took place in the dream world.
>>23564431To be fair to that anon Azu was something the director inserted to Zero-One's opening without consulting Takahashi so stuff like that can still become or relatedThat said o still think anon's theory is retarded
>>23564098Right now Zero more of just sees them as a necessary asset to help out Baku in sniffing out information. Probably will talk to them when he fully trusts them (or he accidentally gets outed).
>>23562551That term's probably 20+ years old. How fucking old are you jeez
>The way he fucking surfs the plane erraticallyEveryone on that plane is going to be throwing up all over the fucking place and a flood of barf is going to flow out.MISSHUH COHPWEH
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGWy4iEKU5MLooks like we're getting VODs in a few days now instead of in four-episode blocks the whole way through.
>>23565101I like that the episode title spoils the twist.
I have extremely mixed feelings about the OP, I really like the chorus but find the K-pop beginning off-putting.
I think the cops are surprisingly quite likable and I'm kinda fond of the rolling entry running joke. Reminds me of Rinko's lost potential from Wizard.
