Hello Yuushabros. It's the /tv/isitor again. Today I've finished watching Da Garn, as it was recommended to me from Anon in here. Overall it was pretty enjoyable. My favorite aspect of it were definitely the characters. Seiji, in my opinion, is not very likeable a lot of times, but he actually feels like a real, believable kid. His flaws make him interesting to watch. The soundtrack is also very good. I also liked the general enviromental themes, which are tied to best girl, of course, Hotaru. I always enjoy the "respect nature" message in movies and shows. As far as the robots go, my favorite designs were Da Garn X and Pegasus Saber. Red Geist is pretty nice too. I just thought the ending was a little underwhelming. I was expecting a more intense final confrontation with Ohboss. And also, even with the great overall artstyle and character design, the animation was mostly subpar compared to other contemporary shows, but I'm guessing that's related to budget. This is not exactly a negative point, but I just found interesting how this show felt more kid-oriented than GaoGaiGar, which has a protagonist younger than Seiji but somehow feels more "mature". Either way, this was a fun watch, and I thank the Anon who recommended it. I don't know if it even exists, but I totally wanna buy a Pegasus Saber figure or model kit now, or even a Hotaru gashapon.So which one should I watch next?
