So is Infinity really a shorter season or it will be "new chapter" like the timeskip on King-Ohger?
Would it be worse or less to just have had one Gavan with different forms maybe? Or would people complain that it's not similar to Sentai with several samey members or it's too similar to KR by having just one hero?(though he does have a giant robo)

Although Gavan Infinity himself will still appear as a recurring character.I guess it kind of makes sense if they want to quickly show the whole idea that Project RED shows will have stronger ties between the seasons.

Gavan ends in july, new show includes infinity as a sidekick, half year shows for toei to introduce their Toku avengers quicker and a way for bandai to pivot incase 2 quarters of a show proves unsuccessful
