Howdy, let's get this out in the open so there are no more surprises. If you're not sure what I mean by "the sequence", I'm referring to the panel of windows expandable at the bottom of the screen. From it, you can add, link, and unlink drawings (or whatever else you want). Currently, anything not a part of the /pdg/ artspace will be unlinked from it as it's seen. Why? The whole point is to draw together. It's split up enough as is with four canvases (seriously, go check out how long it takes for /create/ to fill up.) And adding more and more canvases to the sequence splits everybody up even further.Think about it like thread generals. This canvas is a collaborative general. People don't make a new /bale/ thread every time they draw something new, do they? They post it to the thread, where everybody is most easily able to see it, and voice their thoughts. It's about accessiblity, and simplicity. Nobody should feel discouraged from working on their own big projects, but the entire reason the /bale/ canvas exists is to draw casually in real time with other anons.Secondly, the sequence isn't secure. ANYONE can add or remove something from the sequence. Not just me, anyone. You should not be using the sequence under the impression that what you have will be there when you return. Images added to the sequence belong to the user that added them, not /pdg/.If you're concerned with space, I dunno what to tell you other than use one of the three other canvases we already have, or to wait until I pop in and poke me for a wipe. So yeah. Mess with the sequence at your own risk.Really good stuff so far, everyone!

>>40946974For the legs I was styling them after actual wild hares/rabbits who are by comparison are a lot thinner/taller with longer limbs I was going to make them all have colored outlines but I already made Twilight and Fluttershy with black outlines and merged the layers so after AJ I decided it was better to stick with black, the pupils are again styled from wild rabbits who have more intense eyes than your regular buns you are also correct AJ and Ponk are my favs so they got extra love

Tried out a few workflows. Couldn't replicate what I wanted. It's all very complicated. And frustrating....Cell shading is super annoying. Getting all the shadow shapes right takes so much time, even though it's supposed to be the easiest... The painting (bottom left) was the fastest and most fun to do. But it would take much more time to really finish it.

>>40988543Paint tool sai has excellent line art tools at least if you got the money for it/can find a good crack. Clipstudio paint also has vector/line art tools but id recommend watching videos on how to use them first for both programs. If not clip studio paint allows for shift clicking, if you click on the canvas with a brush then hold down shift and click some where else you can create a straight line. If you make the lines short and turn them gradually you can make decent lines that way. Your other option is to suck it up buttercup and get good with a mouse lmao. Krista is free but drawing with a mouse is suffering in it as it's more optimized for tablet peasants but it can be done with max stabilizers and an steady slow hand.

Fun krita fact that I just noticed recently.If you're using the pixel art brush/brushes, you can actually scale up your art with nearest neighbor without it getting fuzzy. (tried with constrained proportions) It's not *entirely* perfect, as I've noticed a loss of a dithering effect I've used when I do it, but it seems to work pretty reliably. Will need to do more testing to be entirely sure, but it's a nice find that I'll certainly keep in mind for later.

It's also missing the galactic plane z line and tick marks representing distance from the target and offset from the plane. This map could still be useable with a few things deciphered differently from the human made one for Earth, but there is far less information to go off of. I believe you would need to identify at least four of the six quasars to have a chance whereas the Earth map could potentially be solved with only two of the fourteen. Also, just to be an ass, I'll point out that the nebula picture for the background is extremely small compared to the scale of the map and would almost certainly never have six quasars inside it, but that could just be a pretty background unrelated to the map.
