Most people go about their days not even once wondering stuff like this.
Then again things like subconscious vanity and pride are exactly the reason why I think humans should be classified in a league of their own. Something like Mammalia Pazzo Cerebrum.
>>
>>41015464
It's a western cultural artifact that comes from the concept of a man being separate from animals due to his capacity for morality, the "moral man", which came before fields like biology, stemming from natural philosophy.

It is a common fact that mammal animals and birds have personalities, complex thoughts and even mental illnesses just like humans.

Humans should still be mammals, but anyone who thinks that we aren’t something special, and just another dumb monke is retarded. Homo Erectus (lel) was smart enough to make fire and create tools. He sometimes farmed, but he wasn’t very good at it. He stayed that way for TWO MILLION FUCKING YEARS with zero development. Think about that. These guys are smarter than octopi, smarter than dolphins, smarter than chimps, but they made zero societal progress in 2 million years, even though they spread into France, Britain, India, Korea, Russia, all over the planet. But they still lacked that spark. Homo Erectus was a monke.

Sapiens, on the other hand, made an appearance 300,000 years ago, and made slightly better tools. Those tools stayed the same for 300,000 million years until we figured out farming 12,000 . Then the cognitive revolution occurred. Up until then, we were anatomically modern, but we were still an monke. Maybe we learned how to talk, maybe space Jews tinkered with our brain, maybe we came across a big black monolith somewhere, but our brains fundamentally changed. We truly separated ourselves from animals. A kike named Yuval Noah Harari, in the midst of a shit-huffing session called this the Cognitive Revolution. This is the psychologically modern human, and he is not an monke. He’s more than that. Because After this point, it took him maybe another 9000 years to figure out how to put a society together, and around 3000 years after he figured out how to smelt copper and tin to make bronze, he detonated the first atom bomb. Think about that for a sec. In 3000 years, he went from basic alchemy to splitting an atom. Contrast that to Erectus negroes accomplishing literally nothing in 2 million years. Anyone who says that humans lack a divine spark is braindead.

Forgot to mention, before the cognitive revolution we were known as Homo Sapiens, but after that scientists have started calling us “Homo Sapiens Sapiens” to reflect the increased capacity to change the world that we had after that. We’re not just wise. We’re WISE wise.

1. Fluttershy would never use this language since she's too shy to mention her sex skills
2. She implied that her partner is not her first partner which would never happen as she chooses one mate for life
3. She already married Discord in canon and now she's dead in G5 of old age

>was the next step of human evolution.
No, because it eradicates the socialization that is too important. It was so necessary that most of the fundamental behaviors in humans revolve around it, not abstaining from it. How I think people misunderstand it is that: intelligence = good, autism = intelligence, therefore autism = good. This is the wrong way of thinking. Under evolutionary theory, our traits are defined by their reproductive success, not intelligence. Because otherwise the smartest guys should get the hoes, which is not the case.

> Under evolutionary theory, our traits are defined by their reproductive success, not intelligence. Because otherwise the smartest guys should get the hoes, which is not the case.
Yeah I am going to have a little bit of trouble with understanding that one in the light of evolution. After all we did see some very strange evolutionary branches which eventually either died off or were absorbed. Kinda like what we are dealing with on earth right now with a certain continent. But what I was trying to say is that just because it can be seen as an evolutionary trait does not mean that it is the next step that is going to make it. More like a misstep. But it is almost impossible to say that without some serious consequences mostly because we live in a society. Which is quite ironic since like you said and I completely agree with, the socialization aspect in autists is too impacted to actively be a part of the group that protects them in this way. Which is weird. I wonder what autism will be like in a couple hundred years. Also what has changed in both a medical and evolutionary standpoint.

Funny you should ask. Autism has a natural rate in nature with humans. The thing is, that rate is abysmally low compared to what we have now. You can test for this, cross culturally, with modern day secluded tribes. Or look at the amish or mennonites, their autism rate is near 0. Why? Because something in our society is causing this dysfunction. You can guess vaccines if you want, like I would, but the prevalence (not existence) of autism in first world-access nations is artificial. Food for thought!

>>
>>41022770
It might be in one or another way. But it DOES exist, as we know the effects are present in the population. It would be like: "Anon, we see x, y, and z as a specific set of items for these subjects. Said grouping of items is distinguishable. What do we call this?" and you give it some random name. But the point isn't the name, in this case, the point is that items "x, y, z, ..." are what's defined in the DSM-V as autism. In summary, we know it exists because of its effects, much like we know that gravity exists because we can see its effects, or how we know that the higgs field exists because we can see its effects.

It would be like me asking "what if bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or ptsd didn't exist?" Well, I know because I can see the effects, AND I can quantify them and cross examine them in-study. Sorry if this seem like a rant.

Everything that humanity has ever tested for needed to be disected and put into little boxes first.
Some things are easy, scolliosis is diagnosed by looking at if someones spine is straight.
Some things are hard, like fetal alcohol poisoning. As alcohol was invented some 10000 years ago and only 51 years ago someone put together that alcohol and pregnant woman probably should not be mixed as they were the cause of small headed children. We probably all have FAS ancestor thanks to the dark ages alone.
Autism as it stands is imposible to 'solve' because we all see that there is something wrong with people who have autism that has at least stunted their developmental growth. But for every thousand autists you test you get a thousand different diagnosisies.
Yet again the impact autism has on society is imeasurable. From families being disrupted by the tantrums of a 6 year old with autism to Zuckerberg having Aspbergers and affecting fundamental societal things such as 'spying on your ex' or 'dating'.
Therefore hollywood and winemoms have some weird fucked up point when they say autism is the next step in evolution, but they are not using compatible terms to those who say Homo erectus and not have the need to laugh smirk or giggle.

It doesn't make sense for gays to exist either. After all, their behavior and the result of their reproductive abstinence is antithetical to the existence of reproductive success. You would think that it would phase itself out, much like the undesirable traits of defined anti-social acts, general reclusive habits, or the ill-social behaviors of autism, yet here it is!

My hypothesis was this for gays, and it seems to fit in with anti-social and ill-social behaviors: gayness is a result of another desirable psychology trait, acted upon is a specific way or set of ways. We can see this actual in study, even mice exhibit it. This would explain its existence even if said trait fundamentally opposes reproductive success, and should have eliminated itself from the gene pool. There exists is a dependency at a more basal level.

It is this weird balancing act. For example, people who exhibit depression are less socially engaging, less likely to reproduce, and thus it should be hypothesized that this trait should not exist in a social-dependent species. The same could be said for any other trait that is antithetical to the necessity of human socialization as a trait: PTSD, psychopathic tendency, sociopathic tendency, etc. Yet, here they are.
