All manner of flora and fauna throughout the realm are in full-swing, popen are prancing to-and-fro in the delightfully temperate weather... And perhaps most importantly, the Fantasy Faire is back in town!The time I spent racing through the Fairegrounds last year, being ferried along in a whirlwind tour of sights and sounds among great company, was one of the best memories I've made since moving to Balti. My only regret at the time was not taking enough photos of the occasion, as it felt like every corner turned offered an incredible new photo-op just begging to be captured, yet time simply wasn't on our side to orchestrate anything major.As such, in learning when the event would take place much sooner, that's precisely what I did: Venture into this year's Fantasy Faire with the goal of capturing its beauty far more comprehensively, and bring a whole host of talented and courteous popen along for the ride!The result is by far my most involved photo project yet, spanning nearly an entire week of scouting, organizing, directing, and shooting (film, obviously), across 22 wholly-unique regions of the gargantuan event.One caveat is something you'll likely be quite familiar with, however, and it's something which directly influenced how every photo taken there would be taken...If you've ever been to one of these big public events, you'll no-doubt know they seldom - if ever - allow for Summoning Magick to be used on their grounds, and this year's Faire was no exception.No summoning means no Pose Stands to greatly speed-up staging a photo, so everything shown here comes from all-natural direction, and a /lot/ of reference marker usage (plus some clip-on spotlights here-and-there when appropriate).
