>>41066579That's why I avoid using slang in pony fiction. First, it doesn't map well because it is placing human slang on to ponies. That's ok for a little bit, but can quickly become obnoxious. Second, it tends not to age well (though it could if done well, I suppose). Using slang in writing is trickier than it seems. I think Mark Twain was very good at it, for instance (and there are plenty of other examples).
