Here’s a big update for the MLP Movie screening! So, the theater tested out their largest theater, and it turns out that their Blu-ray player doesn’t work very well in that auditorium. Apparently, there’s a red cast over the entire picture that makes watching the film completely impractical.So, they offered to set us up with a second auditorium. And due to the overwhelming amount of you who want to come, I agreed to it. Both screenings will happen at the same time (10:30 PM on Thursday) and we’ll apparently be right next to each other.Since both theaters are the same size, I don’t need to have a final headcount until I have to pay. That means I can keep signups going all month (or until we hit capacity)! The manager of the theater actually told me that they are pretty excited and have never actually done a private screening like this before.Also, I’ll be raffling off a popcorn bucket at each screening. I went alone, drove 1,100 miles, not meeting up with anyone, and every one of my friends that used to be into pony are not anymore, let alone into it enough to go to a convention. Yet I still went, and it was absolutely worth it. At the very least let it show it was fun enough that I am going again this year, and decided i would the moment the con ended.And talking with people is super easy. Everyone is there for the same thing and to have fun. You do have to put in a little bit of effort to try to get involved with things, but that goes for any sort of social/irl event, and its much easier when all the people around you have the same passion about pony as you.tl;dr Worth it and will give you an experience I guarantee you won't forget, especially if it's your first one. Ca-n any Florida anons recommend hiring a car vs relying on taxis/Ubers?
