Google released a new Gemini model, Pro-exp-0801, but apparently no proxy is compatible with it for now.
>chary updates1) new Gemini 1.5 Pro snapshot is available now - 0801>chat completion: OpenAI>show external mode: On>OpenAI Model: gemini-1.5-pro-exp-0801>works in ST 1.11.6+from quick tests it feels like Sonnet 3.0 -> 3.5 update: more accurate but more repetitive (?) YMMV need more tests2) Mistral Large and co are available now>chat completion: MistralAI>MistralAI Model: mistral-large-latest / mistral-large-2407 / codestral-2405>requires ST 1.12.3+3) gpt4o now supports image-reading>enable "Send inline images" in AI settings>requires ST 1.12.3+feels more accurate than Claude 3's image-reading, at least in OCR departmentbut also more filtered/restrict?also a quick side-note for those who will experiment with Gemini and Mistral - they DO support prefill. what you need to do, picrel:1) create a new prompt at the end of template2) assign AI Assistant role to itthis way you will get the same prefill on Gemini and Mistral as we natively have in Claude
>>41287907>they DO support prefillDidn't know that, this is neat. I thought it was only a Claude option due to their weird mix of chat and autocompletion.
>>41287907I've been testing the new Gemini. It's good for SFW; I believe many here may prefer it or find it a good alternative if they're tired of Sonnet. It may be a skill issue, but it's absolutely dogshit at NSFW. It doesn't want to go there, and when it does, the results aren't good.
>>41287488A paragraph or two. Sometimes three+, or sometimes a one-liner. Usually a bit more dialogue-heavy than regular prose I write, though—maybe a 50-50 split of narration and dialogue. For me, the fun thing about this (even when doing porn) is co-writing the scenario and seeing it brought to life, not having it generated for me. The fact that this is such low-stakes writing that no one will see is also appealing.

I make sure my personality really comes through in my writing by using familiar language and squeezing personal moments into the day by day rp. Emphasizing my own likes while keeping an open mind for {{user}}'sOr something similar. It's a very open preset, you can rejigger language to better fit a certain character. Emphasize certain aspects, whatever. It's one of the few where I've found there is no single preset that 'just werks' because it's so open for every character/personality to operate differently. >>41295293Damn. My token is pretty high and has a lot of IP's because I use it on mobile and home pc, both with dynamic ip ISPs. I feel the danger. If my token ever gets struck I hope MM will bestow another one.
>>41295293I sometimes feel like I'm spending too much time on this, but then I check the rentry only to see myself in the bottom 20% of the list.To be fair I've only been in for a couple months, but people up there having tens of thousands of prompts (or even six digit counts) are something else.
>>41295300I'm at over 300 because of dynamic IP, and my token has been good for more than one year. As long as there is no clear abuse, I don't believe he cares.
>>41295330You get a shit ton of token usage if you have some big preset like Bloatmaxx or a beefy Anon4anon as well.
>>41295345Yes, for token usage. It's also quickly inflated by longform RP, which I don't usually do. But prompt count doesn't dependent on those things. People with 100k+ prompts (assuming they've all been in it for a year) are doing about three hundred prompts per day. Every. Single. Day.
>>41295362>are doing about three hundred prompts per day. Every. Single. Day.Remember the days of your first exposure to unfiltered CAI, back when it was not lobotomised and had sovl. And now people getting their first exposure to Opus. It's like crack. I would even say 300 isn't even that much if all you do is RP with bots all day.
>>41295371>300 isn't even that much if all you do is RP with bots all dayFor more than three hundred days in a row?Even if they're just spamming "plap plap" as their sole reply, that's probably still like, I don't know, 6+ hours a day for a full year.
>>41295382You can easily get to a 100 messages in like an hour depending on your gen length. I can easily imagine some coomer who can now only get off to rp text with his waifu, doing it every day because I fell victim of the same curse, pictures do nothing for me anymore
I updated the ST voice app, fixing ALL the bugs and inconsistencies, and added some new features:- option to wait for a mouse click to read the next message in queue- option to attempt to split long phrases for generation- improved string processing to avoid weird soundsMore detailed info in the description file.To update, just drag&replace contents of the fix folder to the project folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16Ss26VBmgzcSuTGzhaHqRuyVRceTf-YBAlso chrysalis works now.

>>41295641Go black to 2.1 or try GPT or Gemini I guess.
>>41295641Sonnet 3.0 is a hell of a lot better than Gemini, GPT, or Mistral though.
>>41295618>3.5 waiting room>Claude released little more than a year ago>AFTER gpt4>however it released over 7 different versions, counting the 1.x, 2.x and 3.x in between >tfw we'll get Opus 4 soon and it'll blow our minds>tfw is possible we'll get Claude 5 before gpt 5 and it'll surely be betterSometimes this timeline isn't that bad tbdesu. Catch up, openai.
>>41295679Let's see how Opus 3.5 performs this year, but I think we've reached or are close to reaching the ceiling of current technology. OpenAI seems to be focused on derivatives of GPT-4, in my opinion, because they made too many false promises and GPT-5 won't be that much of a jump. They hyped AGI everywhere when it can't be achieved with what we have. To be honest, I am satisfied with the current level of logic. I would just like to see large models really focused on creative writing and options to avoid isms or repetitions.Maybe I'm just negative and they will blow us away but I doubt it.

>>41295851It works for me when I use vague descriptions of what I want in a preset for NSFW content: gentle intimate sex, light dom, or specific fetishes. Perhaps presets designed to be non-horny could also be effective.

I remember someone posted an article stating they know about us and that we waste corporate money by rping with lolis (of course they leaned into that), and their efforts will be focusing of detection and automatic revoking. Guess it has happened.
>>41296177I prefer Sonnet 3.0, but both Gemini and Mistral Large 2 are at level were I could see some anons prefer them. They do seem to be a bit less knowledgeable about MLP but they know most stuff.
>>41296185>rping with lolis (of course they leaned into that)I was correcting cozy glow, sorry.Seriously tho, it's pretty annoying that those people always justify over that as if it's, I don't know, actual child grooming like it happens every day in sites like dicksword or the like. In fact, the only reason they came with the "Muh kids" is because they're very aware that most people will see a bunch of people leeching over a multi billion company to RP with their waifu as harmless, kinda pathetic, but harmless still. So they become as vague as possible and say "those freaks are molesting virtual kids!!1!". So fucking tiresome.
>>41296190That and I did train base nemo on fimfiction. Its decent for uncomplicated stuff as nemo is still dumb compared to claude obviously.https://huggingface.co/Ada321/NemoPony/tree/main
>>41296185>>41296241I doubt the recent drought has anything to do with the contents of the prompts.Opus and 3.5 were both on timers since AWS imposes significant limitations on their side.Sonnet 3.0 is still plentiful despite what happened with the MM keys.
>>4129590116 times the dead keys
>>41296289IT JUST WORKS
>>41296242based, thanks
Okay so like... Can someone give me a rundown on RP'ability of these monstrosities? I'm used to Claude, but like... Where do the others stand? Where do preferences lie? What the FUCK is mistral?
>>41296328Another AI company. They just released 2 models not too long ago, mistral Nemo a 12B and mistral large a 123B. They are both quite smart for their size and more importantly have a ton of "soul" and know a decent amount of pony. The weights are open so you can run them on your own PC if you have the GPUs for it. And mistral large is also on some proxies.I finetuned the small one, 12B on a fimfiction dataset. I would say its better than novelai's kayra though worse than claude obviously. Large mistral is closer but I dont have the hardware to train that.
>>41296328Claude is split into a lot of models, so I'll do a quick rundown:>Claude 3 OpusA favorite model for many anons who tested it. It's very smart, good with prose, creative, and follows instructions well. Less horny than Sonnet too. Unfortunately, it's rare because of AWS Amazon restrictions on it.>Claude 3.5 SonnetVery smart and the best model for instructions. But the base can be a bit dry and repetitive with swipes/ideas. There are presets that fix that, though. Very rare too now.>Claude 3The model most anons have access to now. It's a good model that knows a lot about MLP and can have good and creative prose. Very good at crazy and schizo prompts too. The problem is that it can be way too horny by default and seem a little 'dumb' if you're used to the other models (still a large and smart model, though). On NSFW, it can easily turn into cliche bad porn dialogue unless you have a good preset or instruct it with what you want.>Claude 2.1An older model, but I still include it because it still has its strengths. Compared to Sonnet 3.0, it's way less horny and you need a good prefill to do NSFW. It has a really good writing style and can be good for slow burn or 'easy' SFW chats. 'Dumber' than the rest but still smart.
>>41296328Mistral is a French company that releases local models you can run on your own computer (but textgen asks for a lot of VRAM, way more than imagegen). They have a range of models from small to large.Mistral Large 2 is a large model. You won't be able to run it on your computer, but you can find it in proxies. Logic and 'smart' are near Sonnet 3.0 but a bit worse, in my opinion, and it knows less about MLP. I prefer Sonnet writing with a good preset, but Mistral Large 2 isn't bad at all, really. It can be a bit repetitive though.Mistral Nemo is a small model you can run on your computer if you have something like a 4090. An anon made a finetune on fimfiction, and you can also run it on Google Colab if you want to try. It's a small model, so it's way 'dumber' than big models, but the writing style is really fresh, and it can do things you don't see in them. Still, you'll need to swipe more or correct mistakes yourself because it will make more than big models.
>>41296328Gemini is an AI from Google. It offers Gemini Ultimate and Gemini Pro, but Ultimate isn't currently available to the public (a shame because it seemed good at writing). In the proxies, there are two versions of Gemini Pro: latest and experimental. I honestly don't know the difference between the two. From my tests, the writing isn't bad; it's a bit less logical and slightly less intelligent than Sonnet 3.0 but not by much. It can be repetitive in swipes and is much less prone to NSFW content than Claude. Also, it doesn't seem that many people care about it, so there isn't really a meta or well-known presets for it.
>>41296328And GPT-4:I'm not fond of GPT, so perhaps consider seeking opinions from others or testing it yourself. They've released several versions of GPT-4: GPT-4, GPT-4 32K, GPT-4 Turbo, GPT-4 Turbo 2 Hyper Fighting Edition featuring Dante from Devil May Cry, GPT-4o, etc.I'm not sure which one is the best, honestly. From my testing, they are quite intelligent and possess extensive knowledge about MLP; they are also excellent at following instructions, the best unless you bring Sonnet 3.5.But, GPT's writing style is quite dry. You can look at the outputs and immediately tell: "Yep, a soulless, corporate, 'harmless' machine wrote that."I've tested many presets and was never satisfied with them. Occasionally, it produces kino results, but those were too rare for my liking. As I mentioned, I'm biased, and it might be a skill issue.
>>41296362>Mistral Nemo is a small model you can run on your computer if you have something like a 4090You don't need anything nearly as beefy. On my 4060 Ti (16GB), the 4-bit quant of it can run entirely off of GPU at 8k context, and at 16k context still keep it at 40/43 layers on GPU (rest on CPU). A beefier GPU will only really help with much higher context sizes, or if you want to run non-quantized model. But you shouldn't do that—the loss on 2-bit is non-existent, and on 4-bit is still supposedly almost imperceptible. I haven't done anything with locals yet, but here are generation speeds for a random sample prompt I tried:>8k context (43/43 layers on GPU):18 tokens/s>16k context (40/43 layers on GPU):16 tokens/s>32k context (30/43 layers on GPU):10 tokens/s>50k context (24/43 layers on GPU):8 tokens/sNemo goes up to 100k, but at that point it will be slower and I find such context sizes impractical to begin with. The first two are far above human-readable speeds (you know how fast empty proxies go? that's their speed), the third is still very fast but reading it live can be annoying. Do note that these numbers are with an empty chat; it will slow down slightly as you fill out the context due to analyzing input tokens taking a bit longer, but this is a rather very small loss. And of course, YMMW. Especially for the generations on CPU, since I do have a pretty good CPU (Ryzen 7 7800x3D). If your CPU is shit, those higher-context values will be slower. Just for fun, running it entirely off of CPU:>8k context (0 GPU layers):4.7 tokens/sOne surprising thing is that it likes to generate very little text. Mind you, this is with no system prompt/persona/preset/etc., but still, this is a very strange feeling coming from Claude's paragraphs. It's also so much faster than proxies, though. The very instant you click send, you already start getting output. If the quality isn't too bad, I could see preferring this to cloud models.Again, I haven't done anything to test it yet; picrel is the very first sample I did, which is what I used for this post.
>>41296515>The very instant you click send, you already start getting output.Never mind, I realized I wrote something really dumb, lol. More context doesn't slow down generation itself, but analyzing it adds some delay. Less so than with proxies (no middleman and sending the same thing between three machines), but still there.Processing the full 8k context takes roughly 8s (1000 tokens/second), so with a 700 token message that would lower the speed from 18 T/s to 14 T/s at 8k context.
>>41296568With smart context it will only reprocess the new context though which makes all the difference for slow burns.
>>41296568Actually that is not dumb at all - in fact that is the case with all models, just not in a very perceivable scale. Couple months ago when in miqu-leak finetunes golden age I did a lot of benchmarking and actual generation speed (after processing context) drops down to around 85-90% when at full context of 16k. Quite possible that now with monsters of 128k context that is even slower.
So that's it? Opus and Sonnet 3/3.5 is gone now?
>>41296976Basically. If you have at least 12GB ish Vram I would recommend >>41296242 If you have like 72GB+ for some reason then use mistral large.
>>41296976There is still Sonnet 3.0>>41296118

>>41297275fuck forgot, ill do that real quickhttps://files.catbox.moe/9rxhg9.png
>>41297288Best way is to reinforce the personality in the preset or prefill (e.g., "I will take into account that {{char}} is X, Y, Z.") or create a quick XML list of traits somewhere and say something like, "I will respect the traits in <personality>."I believe presets like Anti-Quack and others are also good for that.

>>41297288Also for characterisation, you may prefer 2.1
Apparently, they added a bunch of regions for Sonnet 3.5 on AWS. Sonnet 3.5 is still a bitch to activate on demand, so it doesn't change much at the moment, but it's a sign they are trying to make it more widely available. It may become less rare soon.

the current AWS meta:1) there are plenty of AWS keys. lots of them don't have LLMs activated and of shit quality but there are enough2) they die fast (quarantined by AWS, or revoked by owner)3) automated activation in advance is no go, it puts keys on risk (tested)4) so when key is dead - a new one must be activated manuallyso it puts AWS in odd place: there are keys around but must be rotate a lot because they die quickly; depending on usage, the less people on proxy the longer key will stay. so basically proxyowner must check current AWS keys 24/7 (minus IRL/sleep)

>>41304622Please ignore everyone here always saying its too retarded to consider worth using compared to claude or even recent low size releases like mistral nemo to be worth it.
>>41304606>I won't fuck off. I will be here whenever you try to sell your shitty service So you're like the braindead /aicg/ locusts that go to /lmg/ to complain that local models are shit compared to fucking gpt4 and Claude when they're bored, I see, I'll start hiding your posts from now on then.
>>41304636Please ignore the fact that there's still people in this thread using "only Kayra knows about pony" to dismiss other models. There are people in this thread that are only here to sell NAI subs.See: >>41303283 >>41304548The "knows about pony" is the mark of a shill. Make a benchmark to prove it and to make a proper comparison with other models. Until that's done, it will always be that "Kayra knows more" because most models don't have dedicated shills.
>>41304652That is me dumbass. Notice how I said its retarded compared to claude / same size recently released models and is not worth using. That is knows more about pony than models like gemma / gemmini / mistral is a verifiable fact by just asking it simple stuff about main characters such as what they look like / who they are. And never did I say only it knows about pony, claude knows far far more as I stated in that comment.
>>41304652For someone obsessed with AI chatbots, your reading comprehension is atrocious. The whole "knows about pony" thing has always been used for Claude first and foremost. Even a fucking tourist like myself is able to see that.
When I tried Kayra out it was pretty good with making a story, but it wasn't good as a chatbot due to not working with tavern at the time. I was excited for Aetheroom but it never came.
>>41304661Of course. You can't say it's better than Claude, because most people use it and they can prove you wrong. But Gemma, Mistral Large, or any other model just released? Most people haven't tried them, so there's a greater chance that people will take that Kayra is better at face value. It's the perfect strategy. You're a piece of shit.No benchmark = shilling
>>41304682When did I say it was better than mistral large / nemo? Ive said several times now its retarded. You really are a retard.
>>41304692See: >>41304548>Claude >>>>> kayra >> mistral large > mistral nemo
>>41304696You really are illiterate, huh? I said many times in my responses that it is retarded compared to those. All I said in that comment, and I noted it within it for retards like you, is in its fandom knowledge. Which hardly matters due to its retardation.
Everyone agree that Kayra shouldn't be used or payed for, unless you have a sub for imagegen and want to try. Let's leave it at that.
>>41304696>on terms of pony knowledge
>>41304702He's clearly some third worlder using google translate and is missing context.

Gemini Pro 1.0 was the only model from my tests which decided for NO reason at all, to frame it as letter to Celestia and even centered the first part with html
>>413047161.5 is the same IMO. It can be dumb but it's really good at schizo. Sometimes it will also output Kino but it's difficult to reproduce.Prose is good too.I wish we had access to Ultimate.
>>41304707no even as a esl, I can tell that guy is especially retarded
>>41304702>no proof>no benchmark = shilling>kayra has dedicated shills because of monetary incentives, and they're willing to spend more energy>repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the trueWithout a benchmark, any claim that "it knows more" should be dismissed as someone trying to convince you to buy a sub.And after the benchmark is done, someone should question why that "knowledge", trivia, or whatever even matters compared to in-context learning.
>>41304716Have the same experience, when it manages to cook, it cooks with so much soul.
>>41304721>i'm not retarded because I took the shill's words at face value and bought a sub!
>>41304731>bought a sub>he doesn't know
>>41304726Make those benchmarks then. The burden of proof is on you.
>>41304737>any claim that "it knows more" should be dismissed as someone trying to convince you to buy a subOr just ignore the NAI shills and their stupid attempts at making people dismiss other models. And re-read the part about questioning how the "knowledge" is useful in the first place.People should be aware that "pony knowledge" is little more than a tool used to shill and shield NovelAI's shitty models from competitors, it's pretty much the only reason it's ever brought up.It's sad to have these parasites in the thread.
Remember to hide the parasite responses and report them as a direct offense to changeling superiority. Only enough room for one emotion sucking species in this place.
>>41304719>I wish we had access to Ultimateyou mean Ultra? we noticed Ultra only on a few keys and every time we have tried to access it we got softblock'd. we haven't found any evidences that Ultra was used anywhere in production. they do claim that Ultra was used in Google Advanced - their frontend - but afaik it is just >trustmebronotice that they haven't released Ultra in public and instead released Pro 1.5 which is according to them is "more powerful than Ultra". so it pretty much writes off Ultra from release. I think the model went thru development hell and they were not able to create a competitive modelit is also weird how similar both Google and Ants with their releases:1) three models in family: nano - pro - ultra / haiku - sonnet - opus2) second model gets an upgrade: pro 1.5 / sonnet 3.53) which claims to be better than top model: ultra / opuswith exception that we did get opus in public... which is extremely expensive and hardware hog. so maybe Google faced the same problems, plus it was more retarded?one way or another I doubt we will ever get Ultra. maybe as part of 1.5?>>41304728t-b-h I kinda prefer this: not all responses must be good, but I want THIS ONE response that makes go UNF. it is like between two choices:>model a: 20% are 3/5 50% are 3/5, 20% are 4/5>model b: 50% are 2/5 35% are 3/5 10% are 4/5 5% are 5/5I would pick model b, because those 5/5 replies what matter the most. but yeah that's YMMV

I would read https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/41240501/#q41246541 for more info on it.90% of anons here use proxies to access the best AI models. If you're interested in that, first read https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/40917404/#40926228 to understand how proxies work. Then read the end of this: https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/41147504/#41166518 if that's alright with you.If you don't want to bother with proxies, you can use local models. They're less smart than proxy models but still good. You'll need at least an 8GB VRAM card. We have a model fine-tuned on Fimfic: https://huggingface.co/Ada321/NemoPony. I'm not the best at explaining how to set up local models, so I'll let another anon explain if you're interested. You can also use things like character.AI for simple SFW chats on an online website.

>>41305202yes, its night and day better than anything else. Surprised you never heard that. It was game changing for devs when it came out.

>>41305202Yeah, seconding what the others said. Sonnet 3.5 is ridiculously good for cooding. OAI still doesn't have a product of comparable quality.
>>41305211Opus is trash compared to 3.5 sonnet for coding btw. 3.5 legit oneshots complicated stuff

I think I have started mixing things up. So OpenAI developed ChatGPT and the test of the GPT's featuring Dante from Devil May Cry series, and it's owned by google. Gemini was developed by Google separately from OpenAI?Is Gemini a variant of GPT? I remember CAI was under heavy Google's investment too, who developed it, also OpenAI?

>>41305374yea, openai has never had anything to do with google
>>41305353>So OpenAI developed ChatGPTYes. OpenAI developed all GPT models (the more well-known now are GPT-3.5, GPT-4, and its derivatives). They also created DALL-E for image generation.>featuring Dante from Devil May CryThat was just a joke to mock the numerous versions of GPT-4 that exist.>it's owned by Google. Not at all. OpenAI has a strategic partnership with Microsoft but remains an independent company.>Gemini was developed by GoogleYes.>Is Gemini a variant of GPT?No, they are both large language models (LLMs). Moreover, Google has nothing to do with GPT or OpenAI.>I remember CAI was under heavy Google's investment tooYes. The official story was that the founders were former Google employees who left to create CAI. However, it was later revealed that it was all orchestrated by Google from the start as a strategy to explore chatbots without affecting Google's reputation.CAI and Google are also in a 'partnership' currently.

>>41306625they certainly could have pushed a silent update for chatGPT - but not for GPT models in general. because in this case the business, with established AI workflow, will be affected. chatGPT is openAI's service so they can do whatever they want with it, without prior note (don't like it? buy API and create your own service). so it can be a stealth update as in everlasting supervised learning, or can be part of A/B test. or placebo. who knows? not the first time I am hearing stories like this

Presence is applied ONLY ONCE.so you can set Presence a bit high (x2) to minmax its effect. if you notice that model repeats some words often then feel free to boost both value with step 0.01-0.02. but don't overdo. punctuation like commas and dot count as well, so with high penalties you will break native sentence flow
>>413076821.00 Temp, 1.00 Top P, and 0.1 Frequency Penalty are good settings. It's more experimental, but I remember on older GPT that Temp 2.0 and Top P 0.88 were an experience without going full schizo, so worth a try. Also, be sure to test other models besides GPT-4o. I find it pretty weak for RP and prefer 1106 or GPT-4 32K, but your mileage may vary.
