But the thing was I didn't really just wanna have it be a "It's the exact premise of The Boys but it's set in Equestria" type deal because that's kinda boring. So I thought that since The Boys comic and tv show is mostly a commentary on the corporate nature of capeshit, a Mash-up between it and MLP should be a commentary on the corporate nature of toy franchises

>>41407625I would say Bionicle would be a perfect mix, since both series deal with "grand prophecies and destines" along with weird powerful artefact that everyone is hunting for and the general team working theme.I think there were few attempts at writing it on fimfic but they always end up on the shitty idea if "everything is the same but they are just ponies"were a much more interesting angle would be keeping them as those weird mix of robots with biological bits that can also do the "not magic" elemental stuff.
