Narratives demand iteration, small changes on similar setups that slowly explore each relevant answer to some issue. Human life itself does not demand this, or make perfect use of time. Escaping momentum so that we can get up and actually change in any way is so alien to us that some people don't even believe it happens. There's a reason soap operas as a genera are the way they are.And it's bordering on a soap. If tamers is going to make a coherent point with all this, it should be 8 episodes long, 10 at most, 11 is pushing it. If we abstract the characters in that way, then the male conflict is one focusing on overvalue of other people, to the point where strength and power is used to hold them. The feminine conflict is about undervalue of other people, to the point where they are thrown aside. Put another way, the male conflict is about dudes being viewed as awesome and the feminine conflict is about chicks sucking. Thus, the male solution is to value one's self more instead of overvaluing others and the female solution is to value one's self less and so learn to value and care for others at all. Women learn to care, men learn to stand up for themselves.The actual episode doesn't need to be talked about. Pinkie makes a sleepover. She's retarded. The others make fun of her. Rainbow dash stays with her and makes her feel ok. The details aren't needed. About 5 seconds after typing all that up, rainbow gives a monologue where she questions why she, who is the best, would settle for dumb pinkie. So that's a pretty good prediction I made, I guess. Twilight's aggressive and dishonest action finally pushes away AJ. Also notable, in the first episode celestia misplaces a magic book which ruins everything. This episode, twilight does the same.

All three males should know that, basically no matter what is happening, they have a time sensitive task to preform and don't have time to sit around. If we assume he's desperatly rationalizing his irrational actions, then it's fine for him to ask "give me some time" as in "give me some time to not hit you", so the literal interpretation of events does actually check out, despite appearances. They also have a pretty good excuse for getting distracted, and there isn't really any saving the orchard at that point anyway.Big mac is a bitch. Specifically, he's always been framed as the one undergoing the "female" challenge in tamers mlp. He hits brae at least partially because it lets him control brae's mental state and intentionally tear down the self-confidence brae needs. This is no different from pinkie attacking trixie for popularity or twilight pretending pinkie isn't like a real friend on the phone, other than being worse. Big mac learns a tiny mote of kindness and honesty, and sleeps in the barn and neglects to rape braeburn despite wanting it more than I've ever wanted anything. He decides to value the relationship and stallion that makes brae happy, at least enough to get in close and tempt brae as much as possible. It's not full honesty, or full care. Twilight sees him express this halfassed care-based hesitation and strikes him down. In the very next scene, he's violently attacking the very stallion he spared. Philosophically, twilight's perspective won that part of the argument, and those two weak version of the males died and were replaced with new iterations. Big mac is enacting the violence that gets him what he wants, and soarin is engaging in unfeeling reasonless violence.This is why they don't think about the idea of twilight fucking with them or the burning trees. Those events, though technically consistent, don't exist on the same narrative plane. Soarin is, here, a representative of the idea of self-contradictory violence and the excuses it makes for itself. The main problem with being hit by those who should not hit you is the damage it does too your ability to understand and define things. It's the purest challenge to brae's ability to make sense of the world possible, in that it literally does not make sense.Pov: your boyfriend hit you, stripped of any particular scenario that could explain it.This is why brae will probably never know about the mind control spell itself, at least not until everyone has already gotten over its effects somehow.
